दैरोहरम भटका किया, दिलेबेख़बर में खुदा मिला

जिस मोड़ से मै बचा किया, जिस राह से रहा दूर दूर
उसी राह के उस मोड़ पर वो चराग़ लेके खड़ा मिला

क्या क्या जतन किया किये बचा के रखने को आशियां
वो ही आशियां जो सहर हुई तो आज मुझको जला मिला

जो रोशनी का पयाम था मेरे घर से तुम्हारे घर तलक
वही चाँद टहनी की आड़ में तेरी छत पे मुझको छुपा मिला

सौ जतन किये थे चाह में, कई फूल बिछाये थे राह में
कुछ भी ख़ता तो करी नहीं फिर आज क्यों वो ख़फ़ा मिला

जिसे भर रखा था ख़याल से, तेरी याद तेरे विसाल से
वो ख़्वाब था जो छलक गया, इक खाली जाम पड़ा मिला

मुझे याद भी नहीं था जो, वो दिखा तो मुझको पता चला
जो ढ़का था वक़्त की गर्द से वो रिश्ता कहीं से जुड़ा मिला

इक काफ़िला था गुज़र गया, आईने से चेहरा उतर गया
वो गुबार और वो चमक गई तो वो शख़्स मुझसे जुदा मिला

वो ही हैरतें वो ही हसरतें वो मोहब्बतों की नुमाइशें
मेरे नसीब में सिलसिला मुझे इन सभी का लिखा मिला

दुआ माँगी तो थी लेकिन ये सोचा ना था

हमसफ़र आया, दो पल साथ चलकर चला गया
नहीं मालूम था वो साथ अपने रास्ता ले जायेगा

दिल का हाल सुनाया तो है, पर ये भी इल्म है
मेरे लब्ज़ों को चुरा वो हमज़बाँ ले जायेगा
