Dark Tranquillity (Himalaya, 20:30-21:45, 27/6) 5/5

Andra festivaldagen inleds med de melodiska dödsmetallarna Dark Tranquillity. Med sin långa erfarenhet och stora utbud levererades en show som blev festivalens bästa!

Om In Flames avslutande spelning dagen innan var otillfredsställande var Dark Tranquillitys spelning desto bättre. Det är lite underligt att dessa två band som är lika bra och spelar samma göteborgska dödsmetall, är så långt ifrån varandra när det gäller kändisskap. In Flames spelar sist av alla på den största scenen medan Dark Tranquillity spelar på en av de mindre scenerna redan 20:30…

Själva spelningen var antagligen den allra bästa på hela Peace and Love. Det var en klockren spelning som inte lämnade något övrigt att önska. Inledningsvis var ljudet lite knackigt, men efter första låten var ljudet superbt. En eloge till ljudkillarna på Himalayascenen som var anledningen till att Himalaya hade bäst ljud av alla scener.

Från början till slut lyckas Dark Tranquillitys eminenta sångare Mikael Stanne få publiken att klappa händerna, hoppa, skrika och headbanga. Frågan är om det finns någon charmigare person än Stanne inom metal. Direkt bandet kliver på scen fyrar han av ett bländande leende och försöker inte alls vara dryg som många andra metalband.

Spelningen som sådan är ruskigt bra. De blandar bra med både gamla och nya, snabba och lite långsammare låtar. Speciellt kul var det att höra de gamla godingarna Punish My Heaven och Therein. I Therein är det mycket ren sång, och det måste sägas att den lät över förväntan! Övriga låtar som spelades var bland annat Inside the Partical Storm, Focus Shift och den berömvärda spelningen avslutades med My Negation och Final Resistance.

Dark Tranquillitys liveframträdande kanske inte är lika extraordinär som sina kompisars i In Flames, men icke desto mindre lyckas de leverera en välspelad show med en intimitet som In Flames saknar. Lägg därtill en otroligt charmig och uppriktigt tacksam Stanne, riktigt bra ljud och en bra spellista så har du Peace and Loves bästa spelning år 2008.

La Nannini, Ranieri e Piovani al Festival Paestum 2008 dal 7 al 23 Agosto

Lo spettacolo incontra l’archeologia per l’undicesimo anno consecutivo al Paestum Festival , la suggestiva kermesse di danza, musica e teatro in programma all’ombra del Tempio di Cerere nel mese di agosto.

Sarà finalmente una singer a calcare per la prima volta il palcoscenico dell’evento che, in programma dal 7 al 23 agosto 2008 , spalancherà le porte dell’Arena dell’Area Archeologica ad una voce femminile e, per questo speciale debutto, non poteva che affidarsi alla “migliore”. Toccherà infatti a Gianna Nannini , la rocker toscana reduce dal trionfo tedesco quale special guest del tour di Bon Jovi e dal successo discografico del doppio album “Gianna Best”, chiudere in bellezza la XI edizione.

Il concerto, previsto per sabato 23 agosto , rientra nello strepitoso tour estivo “GiannaNanniniLive” prodotto ed organizzato da Cose di Musica, promosso nel salernitano in collaborazione con Anni 60 Produzioni.

L’appuntamento live sarà l’ultimo di dodici spettacoli che comporranno il Paestum Festival, evento promosso dall’omonima Fondazione in collaborazione con il Comune di Capaccio- Paestum, con il patrocinio economico della Regione Campania e il contributo di Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali ed EPT -Ente Provinciale per il Turismo di Salerno, ed il sostegno della Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Capaccio. La direzione artistica è affidata a Mario Crasto De Stefano.

Dall’8 al 23, infatti, anche quest’estate si succederanno artisti poliedrici della scena nazionale, big del teatro, grandi voci della musica italiana e nuovi fenomeni della danza. Tanti gli ospiti attesi sulle vie dell’antica Poseidonia per accendere l’estate paestana di turisti e residenti., da Rosaria De Cicco e Gennaro Cannavacciuolo che apriranno il Festival con “Novecento Napoletano”, un progetto di Lello Scarano e Bruno Garofalo per la regia di Rosario Imparato, al concerto in quintetto del Maestro Premio Oscar Nicola Piovani il 12, da Raffaele Paganini protagonista con Ambeta Toromani e Josè Perez della Serata di Gala del 16 agosto, fino all’attesissimo ritorno di Massimo Ranieri nel suo “Canto perché non so nuotare… da 40 anni”.

E' la possibilità che il direttore artistico del festival cinemusicale Claudio Gubitosi, darà alle band emergenti di Salerno e provincia, mettendo in palio biglietti gratis e incontri con gli ospiti.

Tutto ciò per coinvolgere ancora di più gli amanti della musica, che proprio quest'anno hanno espresso grande partecipazione. Come ha dichiarato lo stesso Gubitosi2 “Mai come quest’anno, desidero un festival molto popolare e pubblico. Pensiunile şi hotelurile din zona Semenic sunt ocupate complet în perioada celei de-a XII-a ediţii a Festivalului de Jazz de la Gărâna
Muntele Semenic va fi la sfârşitul săptămânii viitoare cel mai aglomerat punct turistic din vestul ţării. La festivalul de jazz sunt aşteptaţi peste 15.000 de spectatori.
Deşi sunt zeci de pensiuni pe munte şi câteva hoteluri, anul acesta ele au devenit insuficiente, încă din luna aprilie nemaifiind locuri de cazare disponibile.
Cei care nu s-au decis din timp să ia legătura cu administratorii pensiunilor se mai pot caza în camping, unde au toate utilităţile: apă, curent electric, toalete ecologice.
Rezervări din februarie
Printre obişnuiţii festivalului din Semenic se numără şi sute de fani ai jazzului din Germania, care au deja la activ câteva ediţii ale evenimentului. Turiştii germani au fost de altfel şi cei mai precauţi spectatori, ei fiind printre primii care şi-au rezervat locuri de cazare la pensiuni încă de la începutul anului.
„Perioada aceasta este foarte aglomerată, nu mai avem locuri din februarie. Cei care vin în fiecare an şi ştiu cât de greu găsesc cazare au făcut rezervări din timp", a spus Monica Paşcalău, administrator al unei pensiuni de trei stele. Preţul pe care îl plătesc turiştii pentru trei nopţi de cazare şi mic dejun este de 495 de lei.

Locuri insuficiente
Renumele Festivalului de Jazz este atât de mare încât profitul pe care-l fac pensiunile şi hotelurile în doar un weekend este uriaş.
Administratorii spun că şi-ar dori să aibă mai multe locuri de cazare pentru că cererea este uriaşă. „Cu câteva luni înainte de festival se ocupă tot. Am primit sute de telefoane şi am întrebat inclusiv vecinii dacă nu primesc la ei în camerele goale oameni care ar plăti", a spus Monica Bogdan, proprietatea unei pensiuni din zonă.
Zona muntelui Semenic are cel mai mare potenţial turistic din partea de vest, dar sunt foarte puţini investitori care profită de frumuseţea peisajelor.
Organizatorul Festivalului de Jazz de la Gărâna, Marius Giura, spune că dacă ar fi mai multe locuri de cazare, şi numărul participanţilor ar creşte.
„Sunt persoane care nu vor să stea la cort şi hotărăsc în ultimul moment să vină la festival, dar renunţă pentru că nu au unde sta. Investiţiile nu ar fi o pierdere pentru că şi atunci când nu sunt evenimente culturale sunt mii de turişti care vin aici la sfârşit de săptămână", a precizat Giura.
100 de lei abonamentul
Preţul pentru o zi la festivalul din 18-20 iulie este de 40 de lei, iar pentru tot weekendul este de 100 de lei. Anul trecut s-au vândut peste 10.000 de bilete.
Festivalul de Jazz de la Gărâna a început în 1997, la iniţiativa unui grup de iubitori de jazz – Gigi Tăuş, Liviu Butoi, Puba Hromadka, Paul Weiner – care s-au gândit să organizeze un festival internaţional.

Je ne suis pas une grande fan de Country, mais il faut de la diversité sur ce blog. Évidemment le festival est surtout tourné vers le concert Country et ne propose pas vraiment d'autres activités.

Quoi faire :

Regarder les deltaplanes et les parapentes descendre de la montagne ou mieux vous pouvez aller assister au décolage du haut de la montagne. La route est assez accessible et on peut monter en 4x4, en quad et à pieds contre un petit coût (entre 1$ et 5$ tout dépendant du moyen de transport). Renseignement à la boutique de souvenirs.
Essayer le deltaplane en solo ou en tandem, un peu couteux (environ une centaine de dollars) cependant c'est une expérience hors du commun.
Visiter les nombreux stands d'artisants locaux qui borderont la promenade durant tout le festival.
Assister aux spectacles.

Since I'm still revelling in the celebration of our nation's independence I thought it was time to elaborate a bit on the deep fried pizza that I mentioned in the Pyrotechnics post.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Well-you didn't hear me but you know what I mean. Deep. Fried. Pizza. As if the calorie and fat laden pizza that we normally eat isn't bad enough. I'm just really wondering what fat ass thought to himself, "Ya know what would make this greasy pizza even better? Frying it in more grease!" I mean really. I'm sure whoever came up with this idea is horribly fat, maybe even dead. Definitely dead. But I have to give the guy (I'm assuming it's a guy) some credit. It takes real hard-core, American ingenuity to think of such a glorious dietary staple. It was delicious!

The Deep Fried Pizza stand was the very first thing that caught T's eye at the Freedom Over Texas fireworks celebration. We passed by the stand and did the festival thing, but I know that deep fried pizza was on his mind the entire time. T absolutely loves pizza and enjoys things that are deep fried. It was a match made in heaven. I, on the other hand, could live without pizza. I like it but it's not one of those foods that I absolutely have to have.

I guess there's just something about festivals/fairs/whatever that brings out the need to deep fry. In March during the Rodeo-I noticed quite a few 'deep fried' food stands. Deep fried Twinkies. Deep fried Oreos. Deep fried Snickers. Deep fried just about everything. I didn't indulge in any of those things. Then again, I probably wouldn't admit it if I had. But something about deep fried candy bars makes me a little queasy. All I could think about was the hot grease mixing with the chocolate and caramel and white stuff inside the Twinkies. Eww... Oh and don't forget the deep fried cheesecake! Apparently the most unhealthy foods are eligible for deep frying. You don't see anyone deep frying apple slices or carrot sticks. That would just be too ironic.

Here's a shot of the deep fried pizza that made it's way into my belly and soon onto my love handles and butt.

Luckily I had a paper plate help soak up some grease. The only thing that would have made it better would have been some ranch dressing for dipping. And by ranch dressing, I mean the full fat version. I don't skimp.

Needless to say, T and I both enjoyed it. I'm sure T is sitting in his hotel room over in Nigeria drolling over this picture right now. It's OK baby-you're thunder thighs will thank you for laying off the deep fried pizza. At least until next year. :)

And I know T isn't the only one drooling over this post right now. I think his Daddy-O will be dreaming about this pizza for weeks. I think it runs in the family.

Shoutout: I have to say hi to my buddy Andrew who has been lurking here, but not commenting!! Andrew and I worked together last summer and became good friends. Once I left for Houston, we stopped calling-emailing-talking for some reason. But the fact that he's rid himself of me makes me remember a picture I snapped of him. I probably should have asked for permission to use it-but I just didn't feel like calling him.

WHAAAA!

Tout d'abord, Rosalie et moi allons travailler au festival Osheaga. Première bonne nouvelle. Deuxième? N.E.R.D et Métric y seront aussi! Deux de mes groupes favoris!!!

Il est certain que le gros nom du festival reste The Killers.

J'ai hâte d'aller voir Metric pour fredonner (ou chanter à tue-tête) toutes les chansons que j'écoute en boucle dans le métro tout les matins sans pouvoir chanter (de peur de déranger tout le métro et de me faire étrangler avant même d'arriver à Berri-Uqàm).

-En parlant de métro, vous avez entendu parler de l'idée qu'un fournisseur puisse avoir le réseau de cellulaire dans le système de métro au complet. Ma question reste: un seul fournisseur... oula! Ça va créer des remous!-

Mais pour revenir au festival, j'espère que le beau temps sera au rendez-vous en août comme ce le fut pour le Jazz!

2º Festival Novos Talentos em Histórias em Quadrinhos

Homenageando o artista gráfico Augusto Neto, (primeiro artista brasileiro a produzir gravuras com caneta esferográfica), que completa 85 anos no dia 7 de julho, tem inicio no Rio de Janeiro o 2º Festival Novos Talentos em Histórias em Quadrinhos.

O Festival acontecerá durante quatro dias, de 7 a 11 de julho, das 13 às 17:30 horas, no Instituto Grupo Pão de Açúcar, localizado na Rua Artidoro da Costa s/nº. - no pátio do Extra Boulevard, em Vila Isabel/RJ.

O Festival Novos Talentos apresenta, ao grande público, o que foi produzido nas Oficinas do Projeto Fala Criança de Histórias em Quadrinhos realizadas com crianças e adolescentes da rede pública de ensino que, durante cinco anos, foram protagonistas do jornal Fala Criança, meio de comunicação que utilizou a arte como instrumento transformador dos olhares de muitos jovens.

Neste Festival também será inaugurado o Projeto Oficinas Primeiros Traços, ação voltada para a revelar novos talentos e seu posterior lançamento no mercado editorial.

La ruta del bakalao 1

Al pin pin, a la vasca... Pero ya no se hace el bacalao como antes, al bakalao discotequero, el de la ruta, alias ruta destroyer. Ahora las michubichis y los conejos se han vuelto cosa de los pijos, y amanecer en un after wours de esos, un después-de-horas, es de modernos y no de buenos fiesteros de la demacre nocturna.

Esta gente estaba hecha de otra madera.

Uno, que no pare ninguno. Ojo a los máquinas que van en el autobús de camino y ya se creen que han llegado a la Chocolate, y eso que ya les dijo el jefe que no se metieran el medio penco ya en el autobús. También al Emilio, el hardvañil, que con esos pelos no se sabe si es para esconderse las rulas, se cree mujer o que lo hace para intentar despistar al cámara de como se guarda el fardo escondido en un pañuelo bajo la camisa de anca los moros, aunque él quiera dar a entender que se trata de secar el rezume der sobaco con el pañuelo. También a los que se revuelcan en la hierba, que no tienen ganas ya ni de acabar de echarle unos cuantos polvos a la jamelga que tienen con ellos, la salia del grupo. Depuis vendredi passé - je sais, je sais, je suis en retard mais mieux vaut être en retard qu'en corbillard - ma ville qu'est Sorel-Tracy vibre au rythme du Festival de la Gibelotte.

Bon, par rythme on s'entend car en ce moment c'est Michel Louvain que j'entend jusqu'à chez mois mais rassurer après ça de l'allure!

Alors pour les gens qui on vu 4 fois le moulin à images à Québec et qui se demande quoi faire d'autre ailleurs au Québec vous pouvez toujours venir essayer la Gibelotte ou un de nos 100 000 restaurants avec terrasses! Les femmes sont belles je vous jure!

C,est gratuit, sauf l'accès au spectacles sur la scène principale mais il y a d'autres scènes gratuites avec des artistes pas pire pantoute.

Ormai sulle guide turistiche hanno aggiunto un piccolo capitoletto: quello dei rifiuti. E il calo degli stranieri in visita a Napoli non può che essere causato dal problema che ci affligge da anni.

Così, gli organizzatori del Neapolis, per veicolare turisti e allo stesso tempo pubblicizzare il festival (che si svolgerà alla Mostra D'oltremare il 17, 23 e 24 luglio), hanno deciso di creare un voucher a soli 15 euro.

"Tutti i turisti- recita il comunicato stampa a cura della Hungry Promotion-che soggiorneranno a Napoli per due notti, in uno degli alberghi convenzionati Easy Napoli, troveranno un voucher che, al costo di appena 15 euro, consentirà loro l'ingresso ai due concerti più attesi della kermesse: quello deiREM, in programma il 23 luglio,
e quello di Bluvertigo, Elio e le Storie Tese e Baustelle,in calendario il giorno dopo.

Sjuk igen ! Kul som tusan. Så går det när man härjar på festival och åker på bonnfyllor i värmeland. Ingen ork med att skriva blogg eftersom jag sliter som ett djur på en jävla hemsida som inte vill göra sig bra. Håll tillgodo med ett filmtips istället.
