<title><![CDATA[Time Again]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[Since last year, I&#8217;ve become increasingly aware that the way I live now is more and more resem]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since last year, I've become increasingly aware that the way I live now is more and more resembling what my lifestyle is going to be like when I go to college.  College schedules are often far more lenient, with classes spread about the days, as opposed to set into six-hour blocks of time beginning at around 8 in the morning.  With this knowledge, I'm developing habits that make greater use of the free time I have.  Not that I expect to have a whole load of free time in college, but I expect to be able to have time to do normal things.  You know, like I was actually living on my own.  Right now, I have all the free time in the world.  I'm not used to it, this sudden drop-off from last year's truckload.  A few days ago I realized that, in my free time.  I do nothing.  Absolutely nothing.  I just click back and forth and reload my usual web pages while listening and singing to music.  Horrible.</p>
<p>Lately I've been trying to wrap my head around having time to do anything.  At first I hung out with friends, earlier on last month.  Now, I'm not out so much, and I'm trying to get up on stuff that I've always never had time to do.  Mainly video games.  I've become distant from that which I've so long loved.  I don't want to drop all my time into playing Wii, but I think I'll invest a few hours each day to try and beat Metroid Prime 3.</p>
<p>Aside from that, I can write more!  My blog won't sit for weeks on end without new content.  I don't know if I'll attempt too much fiction, though.  My focus has been <a href="http://ultra-gothic.tumblr.com">working on comics</a>.  They're getting a lot better.  Unfortunately I'm late by over a week on posting another one.  Backgrounds in this one.  It's taking an unnecessarily long time.</p>
<p>Comics have been taking up a good amount of my time.  I'm getting positive feedback from my friends, and also my art teacher, so I think there's something to them.  But I'm still working on it.  I think I'd try not to put them online, except knowing that I'm going to gives me motivation to actually finish them.</p>
<p>And, huzzah!  My birthday is in but FOUR days!  I'm more excited for this birthday than I have been for a lot of others, both because I'll be turning 18 and will legally be an adult, and because I hope to get some new CDs and a video game as presents.  I can't wait.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I recently finished reading Freedom at Midnight by Dominique Lapierre and Larry Collins. It was a fascinating journey - a truly funtastic one. It is a book that in effect creates a time machine and takes you back to the times of Indian independence. Book is well narrated and very facts filled. Authors have done a tremendous work by going deep in to the psyche of each and every situation during those years. Even though the book is very much biased towards India and Indian leaders - it gives an open account of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the father of Pakistan. In fact, it gives an inner wave of most of the famous people during that time. Towards the end of the book, authors have gone to the abysmmal depths of the events as they unfolded during the last minutes of Mahatma Gandhi's life. This book will be in the most reader list in future as people in future will always want to know about what happened in the times of independence and also about their leaders during that time.  This book gave me alot of interesting, brow raising , infomations....one of them ...is the fact that Mahatma Gandhi infact was the chief artitech of his wife's death as he refuse the doctor to give his wife a penicillin injection because it was against Gandhi's ideology of natural treatment. Another fact  which interested me was the Gandhi's habit of sleeping with young woman like Manu, his grand niece. Gandhi slept with young women to make himself sure about the fact that he is infact free from the grasps of sexuality and sexual feelings. This book also gives a good insight into the mnd of legendary Louis Mountbatten. It also protraits the equation of Mountbatten's relationship with leaders of India and Pakistan and the method put forth by Mountbatten during the pre independence times. This book also invites us to the horror times of partition. It nakedly shows the true evil that lived in the streets of cities and villages in India and Pakistan during partition days and months...finally, book truly gives, in full, a good picture of the Mahatma Gandhi's powerful weapon - Satyagraha... Infact, one of the touching instances in the book is where Gandhi went on for a life threatening hunger strike to end the hindu-muslim violence in Delhi as India and Pakistan divide the undivided India into two..creating a long and never ending barrage of migration across the border towards the both directions. All in all....a truly must read in my opinion.</p>

Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our       achievements?<br />
We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but       we refuse to acknowledge them. Why?<br />
We are the first in milk production.<br />
We are number one in Remote sensing satellites.<br />
We are the second largest producer of wheat.<br />
We are the second largest producer of rice.<br />
Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a       self-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such       achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures       and disasters.<br />
I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was       the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken       place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the       picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his       desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that       everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths,       were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news.</span><br />

Why are we so NEGATIVE? Another       question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We       want foreign T.Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology</span><br />
<span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">Why       this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that       self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this       lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her       what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed       India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You       must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly       developed nation.</span><strong><span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:blue;"><br />
Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance.</span></strong></p>

YOU say that our government is inefficient.<br />
YOU say that our laws are too old.<br />
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.<br />
YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke. The airline is     the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination.<br />
YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.</span><br />
<span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">YOU     say, say and say. What do YOU do about it?</span><br />
<span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">Take     a person on his way to Singapore. Give him a name - 'YOURS'. Give him a     face - 'YOURS'. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your     International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the     roads or eat in the stores. YOU are as proud of their Underground links as     they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 60) to drive through Orchard Road     (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road) between 5 PM and 8 PM. YOU     come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over     stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status     identity… In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU? YOU wouldn't dare to     eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai . YOU would not dare to go out     without your head covered in Jeddah.<br />
YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London     at 10 pounds (Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are     billed to someone else.'YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h)     in Washington and then tell the traffic cop, 'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do     you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get     lost.' YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the     garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand .<br />
Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo? Why don't YOU use     examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston??? We are still     talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign     system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers     and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can     be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you     be the same here in India?</span><br />

Same in Japan.<br />
Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to     choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility.<br />
We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do     everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect     the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage     all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of     paper and throw it in the bin. We expect the railways to provide clean     bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms.<br />
We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and     toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity.<br />
This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to     the public.</span><br />

<p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">When it comes to burning     social issues like those related to women, dowry, girl child! and others,     we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home.     Our excuse? 'It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter     if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the     system?<br />
What does a system consist of? Very conveniently for us it consists of our     neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the     government. But definitely not me and YOU. When it comes to us actually     making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with     our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far     away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along &#38; work miracles for us with     a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away.<br />
Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their     glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to     England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight     out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and     brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape     the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is     mortgaged to money.</span><br />
<span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">Dear     Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a great deal of     introspection and pricks one's conscience too…. I am echoing J. F. Kennedy's     words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians…..</span><br />
<span style="font-size:13.5pt;color:#444444;">'ASK     WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA WHAT     AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY'</span><br />

<p>This week <strong>Madison</strong> County of Flo-rida holds strong in 34th place. <strong>Hamilton</strong> of AZ is number 40, while <strong>Thomas Jefferson</strong> (in PA) hovers just outside the Top 50 in 52nd place. Undefeated <strong>Independence</strong> is 83rd, while the two <strong>Trinitys</strong> (in 1st and 78th place, respectively) still seek that elusive third.</p>
<p>A special shoutout to <strong>Columbus</strong> (of Miami, FL) in honor of Monday's greatest single day surge in the history of the U.S. stock market (on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbus_day"><strong>Columbus Day</strong></a>, no less).</p>

<description><![CDATA[Finally! After much deliberation, discussion and arguments we have been able to narrow down to the w]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ffffff;">Finally! After much deliberation, discussion and arguments we have been able to narrow down to the winning entry in the essay competition. The topic of Social Entrepreneurship really interested a lot of people and there is a wealth of creative energy out there ... and poured their thoughts out no end.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;"><span style="color:#ffffff;">But we are proud of what we finally selected! The winning entry came from <strong>Mrinal Kanti</strong> of Fidelity Investments and what tilted the scales in his favor was the originality of expression, structure of presentation and of course, ingenuity of thoughts. Here's an excerpt from the winning essay:<br />
"Here’s how the new age concept of</span><em><span style="color:#ffffff;"> Social Entrepreneurship (SE) </span></em><span style="color:#ffffff;">looks like- Teach a man how to fish, and in turn ask him to catch two and teach one new guy each day. You get to sell only one, so profits are lower than they could have been, but you also get to alleviate hunger. Sounds fishy, you would say? Agreed, but the message here is that social entrepreneurship has to meet two kinds of bottom lines- profit as well as achievement of the underlying social cause, and not necessarily in that order."</span></p>

<p>“On 14 October 2008, the European Community held a press conference at Le Royal Hotel to present the final observation report of the fourth term parliamentary elections on 27 July 2008, as well as to provide clear recommendations to guarantee that the election system in Cambodia will comply to international standards, following democratic policies. </p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan, the head of the European Community election observers group, made in the press conference some important recommendations of the European Community regarding requirements to guarantee an independent and unbiased state of the election authorities and the media in Cambodia. He added also that the European Community presents recommendations to improve the legal system and framework controlling the elections, a well as voter registration and the education for voters. </p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan, the head of European Community election observers group, presented some recommendations to reform the election process as follow:</p>
<p>“The Cambodian government must take action to guarantee that the National Election Committee is a body that is fully independent, in order to promote trust and acceptance among all political parties and voters. </p>
<p>“The legal system and the framework controlling the National Election Committee, especially the different pieces of legislations and procedures, should be made to be easier to understand, and they should be consolidated. </p>
<p>“The Form 1018 [to be provided as identification to some voters at polling stations] should be abolished before any election in the future.</p>
<p>“The Ministry of Interior should increase the distribution of election information cards and improve the monitoring process.</p>
<p>“Village chiefs should not be allowed to play a major role to distribute election information cards.</p>
<p>“The Cambodian government and the National Election Committee should start an open discussion to find choices to facilitate and to improve procedures for voter registration. </p>
<p>“An atmosphere of free and unbiased publication must be created of independent institutions to monitor publications. Institutions of the government, including the National Election Committee, and civil society organizations, should give priority to participate and to broadly educate the citizens with specific goal sets.</p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan continued that the fourth term parliamentary elections were better and peaceful. However, the elections still had deficiencies and did not clearly follow international standards – which also resulted in a lack of trust from citizens and from election administrators.</p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan spoke also about human resources and measures of the state, using mostly officials of the ruling party, especially, it was reported that information, donations, and money were distributed to voters. He added that the Cambodian government must take action to guarantee that the National Election Committee is an independent body, in order to provide trust to political parties that participate in the elections, and to the Khmer citizens. </p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan went on to say that village chiefs should not be provided with a major role to distribute election information cards, and the government and the National Election Committee should organize discussion meetings, so that the elections are improved and become better acceptable. </p>
<p>“Different relevant institutions must set clear resting time, related to election activities and the campaign. </p>
<p>“Mr. Martin Callanan said that when there are complaints from political parties that participated in the elections, particularly related to the election results, there must be very just solutions. In the meantime, the National Election Committee must monitor the accounts of each political party and the money that each political party has. </p>
<p>“Regarding the murder of a journalist of <em>Moneaksekar Khmer</em> on 11 July 2008 before the fourth term parliamentarian elections, Mr. Martin Callanan encouraged the Cambodian government to investigate and arrest the murderers to be punished according to the law, in order to provide clear information about the murder of this journalist. </p>
<p>“As for the investigation to find the murderer who shot dead Mr. Khim Sambo, a <em>Moneaksekar Khmer</em> journalist and his son, Khat Sarinpheata, on 11 July 2008, when they came from their evening exercise at the Olympic Stadium, the [US] FBI and the Khmer authorities have finished drafting a wanted poster with a sketch of the faces of the murderers, using identification provided by witnesses who were at the site of the murder. </p>
<p>“Also, civil society organizations demand that the authorities speed up the investigation to arrest the murderers who killed Mr. Khim Sombo and his son, to be prosecuted according to the law, after the FBI helped to draft a sketch with the faces of the murderers. Civil society organizations said also that the murders of journalists have started since 1992, and the authorities have never arrested the murderers and those who are behind them, to be convicted according to the law; therefore, when they write and criticize anything related to powerful, rich, and corrupt people, journalist always face threats and murder. </p>
<p>“Observers of the fourth term national elections in Cambodia acknowledge that the assessments in the report of the European Community observers are in line with the real situation related to the irregularities during the elections. This means that the 27 July 2008 elections have not reached international standards, therefore it is necessary to reform the National Election Committee urgently, so that the next election will not suffer from irregularities.” <em>Moneaksekar Khmer, Vol.15, #3588, 15.10.2008</em></p>

<title><![CDATA[Nostalgia]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[I opened up one the crates I brought back from my ex g/f&#8217;s house to get a shirt out&#8230;Afte]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I opened up one the crates I brought back from my ex g/f's house to get a shirt out...After I took a shower and got dressed I got a whiff of the shirt...that smell--the smell of her house, the smell of her, the smell of us. Nostalgia ripped through me. Shook me. Stunned me. Made me miss her even more.</p>
<p>Right now I as I turn my head I can smell the shirt. I can almost feel her next to me because of the smell. I want to be with her, more than almost anything. Damn I miss her...</p>
<p>This whole thing with the smell of her emanating from my shirt got me to thinking about different things. Thinking about more than how much I miss her and want to be with her-to date her. My daughter and I were talking about life, love, relationships the other day and between that conversation, the weekend, and now the smell of my shirt...</p>
<p>All my life I've wanted to love and be loved. I have that. I am loved by many and love many-I have family and friends. I have school. I have life. All my life I've also wanted to help others, to teach, to write, to be able to be myself and feel amazing and loved no matter what I am doing, how I am, who I am, how I look, flaws and all.</p>
<p>Growing up I felt invisible, rejected, abandoned, that I wasn't good enough, and no matter what I did it would never be good enough or right. Over the years I have dealt with a lot of those issues. There are still some issues I need to work on but degree by degree I am working on things. It seems, however, that every time I think I've gotten a few steps forward I realize I haven't gotten nearly as far as I need to be. But it's happening bit by bit and I need to learn to have patience. Things come in their own time. Each day brings us closer to who we are meant to be.</p>
<p>I remember last year around this time when I had first gotten the job at the company that is now closed, when I was single and thinking about what I wanted to do with my life. I needed a job but working for that company was to pay bills not what I really wanted. And my uncle Michael died around this time last year.</p>
<p>We all face obstacles. It's different for each of us, but life is life. We live it, we remember, we move on, we love, we try, we evolve and change each day. That is what is amazing about life that we do grow, we do learn, we do evolve and change-there is always room for improvement and we can always change things. There is always the chance to do better, to be better.</p>
<p>I've been thinking about my past mistakes a lot lately, about what I could have done differently, about what I should have done better, about honesty and respect, and how much I want to move forward with my life-get it together finally, not just temporarily but overall, for the long haul. I am tired of having been the person who falls apart bit by bit when one thing goes wrong-I end up falling apart completely because it is like an avalanche-when one thing goes wrong I start falling a little apart so other things begin to go wrong and then I fall all the hell apart. I am tired of being THAT person.</p>
<p>Over the summer I confronted a lot of my demons. Over the past two decades I've faced various demons, but somewhere along the way I misplaced some of my better qualities and it's taken me almost 2 decades to figure out that I had it more together when I was 20 than I did when I was 40, perhaps there was something that I needed to figure out (go back into the past and be honest with myself, face whatever demons I need to so that I can be the person I really am.)</p>
<p>Over the summer I did just that, it was easier to do it while I was away. I could see things that I couldn't see before but needed to see. Spending time with my aunts and cousins I found some answers. We're all different, even when we're raised in the same house, even when we're related. I am a lot like my Momo (my paternal grandmother), I am also a lot like my daddy, and there are some traits that my brother and I share, and some traits that my aunts and cousins share, but I am also me. Just me. I am not like anyone else, I am unique. Regardless of how similar I am to anyone else I am just me.</p>
<p>I've made mistakes, I've fallen, gotten back up, on more than one or three occasions. I am stronger than I thought I was, I am more than I thought I was, and I am good enough-more than good enough. I love myself. I am happy with myself but will keep on improving.</p>
<p>She'll call me, email me, or she won't. I'll be with her or I won't. I'll find a job. I'll get the loft finished. I'll be with my children as much they'll let me, they also have their own lives and part of being a good parent is letting go and letting them be who they were meant to be. They aren't ready for me to let go completely, and I probably never will let go completely-they will always be my children, but my job as a parent has been to prepare them for life, to teach them independence and respect for themselves and others, and to give them the tools--such as thinking for themselves, self-confidence, and the ability to know right from wrong, to give them values and to give them unconditional support and love.</p>
<p>Love is, to me, a multi-faceted emotion. It can conquer all if you're smart enough to know when it's real and it's worth fighting for, standing up for, and if you learn to love with all of you. If you can forgive others and yourself. If you can learn from your mistakes. I haven't been a great parent, but I've been a decent parent. I've loved my children unconditionally and supported them, but I haven't always been there for them the way I should have been, I haven't always been the kind of role-model I needed to be, and there have been times when I've been selfish...Does that make a bad person? No, it makes me human.</p>
<p>I will always love D but the silences in between are something I've had to learn to deal with. I have also learned to be honest no matter what. To respect myself and to forgive myself, though it is hard sometimes.</p>
<p>Today is one of those days when much is on my mind, when I am probably over-thinking things.</p>
<p>But last night I slept. I woke up this morning and was thankful. I am feeling better, much less depressed and feeling much better in general. If she calls me or emails me back then it will be great, but if she doesn't it will be okay. I will survive. I cannot force things. There is very little that we actually control and this is something that I am unable to control. No matter how much I love her it isn't enough if she doesn't want to be with me, if she is unable to be with me.  I can smell this shirt all day, I can spray my pillow with her perfume, I can email or call her or not, it won't change anything unless she is willing to try.</p>

</strong>The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America<br />
hen in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.</p>
<p>We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. — Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.</p>
<p>He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.</p>
<p>He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.</p>
<p>He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.</p>
<p>He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.</p>
<p>He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.</p>
<p>He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected, whereby the Legislative Powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.</p>
<p>He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.</p>
<p>He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.</p>
<p>He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.</p>
<p>He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.</p>
<p>He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.</p>
<p>He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil Power.</p>
<p>He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:</p>
<p>For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:</p>
<p>For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:</p>
<p>For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:</p>
<p>For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:</p>
<p>For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:</p>
<p>For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:</p>
<p>For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies</p>
<p>For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:</p>
<p>For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.</p>
<p>He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.</p>
<p>He has plundered our seas, ravaged our coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.</p>
<p>He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works</p>
<p>of death, desolation, and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty &#38; Perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.</p>
<p>He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.</p>
<p>He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.</p>
<p>In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.</p>
<p>Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our British brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which would inevitablyinterrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.</p>

Good, if distant, viewing of the explosion cloud where lava enters the sea, displays about the volcano and natural history of the area, as well as a wealth of information on hiking to, and viewing, the lava, are available here. In addition, numerous sea arches, sea caves, fabulous bird watching, indescribable ocean views and some pretty good biking are to be found here. Even if the lava flows are too far away to be easily hiked to, the hike along the new land, twisted lava forms and endless basalt landscape is well worth the drive to the end of the road.</p>
<p>Over the months and years, the lava river issuing from Pu'u O'o winds its way back and forth across the lava plain of about 8 miles breadth, usually flowing into the sea within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, but sometimes outside the eastern margin of the Park on County of Hawaii land, sometimes ponding behind the low lava hills for weeks at a time without entering the ocean at all. Check with the rangers about flow conditions; they can tell you the best way to approach these flows. Current eruption updates are available from the National Park Service by calling 808.985.600.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I've been a mean bitch lately.  <a href="http://thatcouple.wordpress.com/2008/09/12/broken-habits-and-bones/">Because of my broken foot, need for independence</a>, and frustration with work, I've been taking it out on The Boy and that's unacceptable.  Neither are those excuses for treating someone horribly.</p>
<p>I'd pick little fights and <em>try</em> to make him angry because I'm frustrated.  And it's stupid.  What's worse is that <em>I'm aware</em> it's stupid and I did it anyway.</p>
<p>The Boy, though, called me out on it.  As he should do.</p>
<p>This is probably where most fights between couples turn ugly.  The name calling starts.  People's feelings are stepped on and people lash out, like I wanted to.</p>
<p>But I didn't.</p>
<p>I owned up to it...eventually.</p>
<p>Try not to get defensive when your significant other calls you out on things you know are true.  Take a moment to stop yourself and think about what the other person is saying.  Have you really been mean? Picking fights?  Been unappreciative?  If you have been, take a breath, swallow your freaking pride and apologize.  Learn to fight fair and know when you're in the wrong.</p>
<p>I hate apologizing and admitting that I did something wrong, but do I want to drag on a fight that I was ultimately responsible for?  No, that's silly and childish.</p>

<p>Maybe just in time, too.  <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Martin_Smith">Charles Martin Smith's</a> movie of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_of_Destiny_(film)">Ian Hamilton's story, "Stone of Destiny,</a>" is just recently released, with dates booked in the UK and Canada.  You may have to call your local theatre in the U.S. to ask that they book the film.</p>

<p><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stone_of_Scone">The Stone of Scone </a>is reputed to be the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob%27s_Pillow-Pillar_Stone">stone upon which Jacob slept</a> when he dreamed of ladders to heaven (see <em>Genesis 28</em>).</p>
<p><strong>You cannot make this stuff up.  This is great history.</strong></p>

<p>...At least 12 protesters and 10 policemen were injured during the clashes in Podgorica, Montenegro's capital, hospital officials said.  Earlier, some 10,000 protesters gave the country's pro-Western government until Wednesday to withdraw recognition of Kosovo, or face attempts to topple it "by unparliamentary means."</p></blockquote>
<p>For Serbia, Montenegro's decision to recognize Kosovo is especially painful since Montenegro only separated from Serbia in 2006, but it may be precisely because of that that the government in Podgorica opted to recognize Kosovo's independence.  Of course, Macedonia's decision is hardly less problematic since it, too, used to be part of Yugoslavia.  Douglas Muir, at <em>Afoe</em>, has more <a title="And Macedonia makes 50" href="http://fistfulofeuros.net/afoe/transition-and-accession/and-macedonia-makes-50/" target="_blank">on this</a>.</p>
<p>My guess is that the protests are an immediate expression of rage, and should not become a problem in the long-run, but that may change depending on whether the animosity is permitted to crystalize and become imprinted in people's memory.  Or, will the parties choose to look to the future where borders, under the auspeices of the EU, matter little?</p>

<p>While thinking about the idea of serving, the Lord showed me some things about the difficulty within our society associated with being a servant.</p>
<p>There are three things that hinder our servanthood:</p>
<ol>
<li>independence</li>
<li>class distinctions</li>
<li>self-sufficiency</li>
</ol>
<p>We have lived for generations in this country on the notion of our independence. It is now engraved, if you will, in our DNA.</p>
<p>While we may think that independence is a great concept, it has cost us dearly in terms of our walk with God.</p>
<ul>
<li>Independence cut off access to the Garden of Eden.</li>
<li>Independence put the children of Israel into Egypt and eventual slavery.</li>
<li>Independence caused the 40 year campout in the wilderness for Israel.</li>
<li>Independence caused each of us to wander for years without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.</li>
<li>Independence is at the root of not experiencing all that the Lord has for us.</li>
</ul>
<p>Independence is <strong>non</strong>-dependent. I depend on no one!</p>
<p>Well, that sounds great to the natural man, but to the wise it is a cause for grief.</p>

<p>Independence is absolutely opposed to trusting in the Lord with all of one's heart.</p>
<p>How does this affect our servanthood?</p>
<p>Independence is so ingrained in our thinking that we cannot imagine "lowering ourselves" to serve another. Oh, we are always ready to 'help' when we perceive a need or a weakness; but to just simply serve so as to make another's life easier is not within our purview.</p>
<p>And that leads to the second reason serving is lacking in our society: class distinctions.</p>
<p>Servant is equated with slave, which is also deeply ingrained in our collective consciousness.</p>
<p>For the believer, however, we have the opportunity to be a bondslave--one who freely <em>chooses</em> to serve rather than be served.</p>
<p>But, <em>being served</em> strikes at my self-sufficiency. "I am capable."</p>
<p>It is difficult for us to receive manifestations of another's love when it comes in the form of service.</p>
<p>For instance, I told my wife to let me carry out the garbage. She said, "I'm not a weakling. I'm not handicapped."</p>
<p>The concept of my wanting to lighten her load struck at her years of being self-sufficient.</p>
<p>Before I learned these things, I, too, had difficulty accepting another's offer of service. "No, thanks," I would say while thinking, 'I can do it myself.' The person did not offer because I was incapable. They offered because they wanted to be involved with me, to share in the love, to show me some love.</p>
<p>I had a problem receiving that love.</p>
<p>We can change that for ourselves, though.</p>
<ul>
<li>Repent and acknowledge the sin of independence.</li>
<li>Ask the Lord to teach you total <strong>de</strong>pendence.</li>
<li>Look for ways to serve another in every social engagement: work, play, business, chores, etc.</li>
<li>Say, "Why thank you. I would love for you to work with me on this" when someone offers help.</li>
<li>Make July 4th your day to celebrate your freedom from being independent.</li>
</ul>
<p>Let us learn to live in the fulness of the Lord's blessings by becoming the greatest--a servant of all.</p>

<p>Hello All,</p>
<p>Long years ago we made a tryst with destiny, and now the time comes when we shall redeem our pledge... At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance Jawaharlal Nehru Claiming Independence from British Midnight of August 14, 1947.</p>
<p>Today, is Independence Day! The last time I spoke or rather gave a speech on this day was way back in my school :). At that tender age, I did not realize what I was saying, for me standing on the podium and addressing a huge crowd was so exciting that I did it with pleasure.</p>
<p>But today, when I stand here as a matured girl, a responsible citizen of this nation, I feel proud to be an INDIAN. At this age, wherein we have already read the history of Indian Independence for long eons, there is no point talking about the past. So, my intention of this talk would be to rouse you to think of present and future with Independence as perspective. Yet, since our fighters have had a great deal giving us this opportunity of celebrating this day, I would first of all like to salute them all and express my heartfelt gratitude to all those great souls!</p>
<p>To name a few legendaries, Mahatma Gandhi, one of my ideals, of course, he has most fans following after “Munna Bhai MBBS” and “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, Bhagat Singh, the well known trio - BAL PAL LAL, Jawaharlal Nehru, Chandrashekar Azad and many more.</p>
<p>When Independence Day is in the offing, one sees a sudden burst of saffron, green and white, the Indian tri-color. The media goes to town with a variety of contests, promotions and programmes related to Indian independence. Television channels show patriotic movies and relentlessly play patriotic songs from old and new Hindi movies. Billboards on roadsides for different brands pay their tribute to the nation. Everyone seems to have something going for them. Shops and petty tradesmen sell a range of Independence Day merchandise such as flags, stickers, tee-shirts and greeting cards. Street urchins hawk paper and plastic flags and tri-colored balloons to motorists at traffic signals.</p>
<p>But, after a day or two, you and I will find the tri-colored flags on the streets, in gutter!! What a shame? I had initiated one such group in my colony wherein after every national festival we go on roads as scavengers and collect all the unattended flags lying orphaned. Being in a busy world now, if each one of us can take the pain of picking one flag up and giving awareness to people regarding the importance of it, I think we have given a tribute to the nation and our national leaders, to whom we owe our lives.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, for most of us today, Independence Day is a holiday, or probably a long weekend!! We don’t realize the significance of it, because we haven’t witnessed that struggle, we haven’t faced those tribulations. Being educated, we first need to value our freedom. I would want to emphasize here on “Responsible Freedom”. Yes, you heard it right, “RESPONSIBLE FREEDOM”. Most of the times, we forget that freedom does come with conditions. Freedom does not mean you have the right to wantonly exercise your liberties. Freedom comes with responsibilities. We should know how to use it wisely.</p>
<p>What is this responsible freedom now?? You are free to smoke, but not in my face. You are free to eat, but not from my plate. You are free to be happy, but not at my expense. You are free to fight for your rights, but not snatching mine. You have to know what you can and cannot do with freedom.</p>
<p>Country was moved by the recent bomb blasts that happened here in the city and Ahmadabad. We belong to a different society or class from where we hardly find time to spend thinking on these issues. We are rather busy impressing our PM, pretending to work till late night, hang out in weekends, make more money and fly abroad. That’s all we can think. All these times, we forget, it is WE who constitute the nation. I am not asking you stop living. But, in your lifetime dedicate a small fraction for some good cause.</p>
<p>I would like to conclude my talk here hoping that all of you will at least get influenced by one of the minute and yet giant points that I mentioned here today. Let the world see the transformation in terms of patriotism in young Indians. I proudly want to dedicate these words to all Indians, my friends, colleagues and last but never the least to Abhinav Bindra, who won gold for India in shooting, 10m Air rifle. Three cheers to all of us. Hip Hip Hurray!!!</p>

<blockquote><p>Marcia Paul, the New York attorney representing Friendly Family, said in a statement Monday that the children of television producer Ed Friendly never wanted to interfere with the maintenance of the Kansas museum, and had spent months trying to reach an agreement that would benefit the museum and protect the family's intellectual property rights.</p>
<p>Those attempts were repeatedly spurned, Paul said.</p>
<p>"A number of other similar historical sites exist throughout the country commemorating the sites where the Ingalls and Wilder families lived, as depicted in Ms. Wilder's wonderful stories, but none other than this Kansas museum have crossed the line into piracy," she said. "That left the Friendly family with no option but to sue."</p></blockquote>
<p>Hmmm. Would that be because none other than this Kansas museum is on the site of the book called <em>Little House on the Prairie</em>?</p>

<p><span>Along the sea cliffs that surround the Island of Hawai'i, arches and sea stacks are formed where wild waves and tides exploit minute differences in the hardness of various layers of lava flow and airfall material, making strange, gravity-defying natural sculptures. Although common, there are few places where these arches and stacks are easily viewable--one such place is the Holei Sea Arch, which is currently directly seaward of the end of the Chain of Craters Road.</span></p>
<p>At Holei Sea Arch the cliffs are 80 to 90 feet high, but many waves still spray and wash over them, so use caution when approaching and photographing the arch. Notice along the lower cliffs in the area toward the eruption viewing platform, the several large boulders which have been dropped by giant, angry waves crashing over the sea cliffs. Imagine the power of a wave that would have enough force to deposit a several-ton boulder on a cliff 30 feet about the surface of the ocean.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>"Why write about disabled parking bays if you don't drive?" you may ask. Apparently disabled parking bays are the cause of much angst amoungst our ablebodied counterparts. After reading a post on a general forum about some pillock in a huff and ranting that life is so unfair after receiving a fine for parking in a disabled parking bay, I felt inclined to write about them.</p>
<p>Why can't these intellectually challenged people appriciate that disabled people need to be closer to where they're going, because of mobility problems that they encounter and not laziness like themselves.<img class="alignright" title="disabled bay" src="http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/40997000/jpg/_40997214_disabled203.jpg" alt="" width="203" height="152" /> "I just popped into the shop for 5 minutes" he ranted and raved. I wonder how many people who had got psyched up to go out shopping gave up and went home in that five minutes, because inconsiderate and selfish people like himselves had parked in disabled bays up and down the country, who didn't actually need to use them? A fair few I would imagine!</p>
<p>"Surely a few more metres won't matter to them either" was one of the many retorts in defence of not parking in a space a few metres further away and getting off their lazy arse to walk! Actually a few metres can make all the difference. These selfish people can't grasp how hard and painful mobility problems can be. "if they can't walk those extra few metres they shouldn't be out!" someone sniped. The phrase "Disabled, not dead!" springs to mind.</p>
<p>Other than that a wheelchair hasn't got a cat in Hell's chance of getting inbetween two parked cars in at normal bays. Can't these people see that wheelchairs are not like the Magic Bus in Harry Potter?</p>
<p>"They could park somewhere else and send someone else in!" some other ignorant pratt had their two penneth. Why should someone give up their independence which they are fighting through gritted teeth to keep, to convenience some pig-headed selfish so-and-so who doesn't need to but who wants to park where the disabled person should have been able to park?</p>
<p>In 2008 I'm amazed at how stupid and selfish some people are and how much jealousy there is towards disabled people. Why are these people so jealous? For a damned parking space? Sweetheart, if you'd like the parking space you're more than welcome to it - the catch is you get my disability too - fair enough?</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This Tuesday is my daughter's 17th birthday. WOW! Where did all the time go?</p>
<p>Today she came home from Florida-she spent the weekend with her dad, step-mom, and step-brother. Brought back a digital camera that they gave her for her birthday with lots of pictures of her and her dad. Wow! For a second it was hard looking at them-I remembered taking pictures of her with her dad when she turned 1. How much he loved her. How hard things were in our marriage. How unhappy I was with all the problems, with his attitude about marriage...I had all of these hopes and dreams and I was beginning to feel like nothing was ever going to get better. I had no idea at the time that part of the reason I was so miserable wasn't just because of my (now ex) husband's attitude about marriage and the problems we were having.</p>
<p>I knew when I was in the first grade that I was different. I remember kissing a classmate named Hope in the Art supply room...I found out quickly that that wasn't "normal." I was supposed to like boys. I liked boys just fine, even had a crush on one named Larry all through elementary school. But in middle school I became best friends with a girl named Candy. She was amazing. I was in love/lust.</p>
<p>So now I'm 3 decades older. Wow! And my daughter is about to turn 17 on Tuesday. Time gets away from us and before we realize it we're 41 and our children are (almost) grown.</p>
<p>I remember being 17. Feels like it was forever ago. But I try to remember what it was like to be young, to remember having so much hope and energy, to want to prove myself, to feel like I had my whole life ahead of me. In some ways, I still feel some of that. Much has changed but some things have not.</p>
<p>When I look at my children I see a young man who is 20 years old but is still my first born and will always be my baby boy, and I see a young woman who is two days away from being 17 and will always be my baby and my girl. They are exceptional children. I couldn't have asked for better. They are smart, healthy, amazing individuals. As a parent it is extremely important to remember that our children are individuals.</p>
<p>Because I am a "non-traditional" parent my children have broader minds and they think outside the box-they were latch-key children, we moved a lot, I was/am a single parent, a lesbian who came out the closet at 31 (only a decade ago), and their dad is strict and conservative and is remarried-they both work a tremendous amount and live 4 hours away. So they haven't spent a whole lot of time with their dad and his other family.</p>
<p>His other family bothers my children.</p>
<p>As they get older they'll realize that we all have to do what we have to do in order to be happy, to find what makes us happy. Sometimes that means divorce, sometimes that means living a non-traditional lifestyle, sometimes that means going back to college when you're in your 30s or 40s or 50s, sometimes that means going to therapy, sometimes that means losing weight, sometimes that means taking time for yourself and going away for a weekend here or there, sometimes it means being true to yourself...whatever it means to one person might not be the same for another.</p>
<p>I am in love with a woman and have been for a decade. My ex husband is remarried. My children are (almost) adults. I am 41 and going back to college. I am looking for a job. I spent the whole summer soul searching and being honest with myself. The truth was somewhere in the middle, in the silences in between. I am not unhappy with my life. I believe things will get better.</p>
<p>It's been 6 months since the company I worked for closed...I need to find a job. And I need to find one soon. I am teaching my daughter to drive. I love life and I am living it one day at a time and looking forward to each day. Time is moments-life is about moments, as D is so fond of saying. I am treasuring each moment.</p>

Before the end of World War two and the emergence of nationalism (the right of colonized country to be independent), superpower nations liberated Africa and Asia; imposing their law, transporting in immigrants and suppress local demand for control of the economy. Thus, for hundreds of year’s doings, definitely adverse effects of colonialism are before our Malaysian eyes clearer than ever.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span> </span>In the case of Malaysia, the crystal clear effect is the appearance of racial population that we have today. During the British rule, they brought in Indian and Chinese to serve in the plantation industry and the mining industry. Not just that, the bad part of is was when the British government decided to divide these races into specific economical activities to work into, with minimum opportunity to work in other sector which are exploited by the British themselves. This ‘divide and control’ system put racial integration at bay and that affect our nation until today.<a href="http://opendebate.wordpress.com/files/2008/10/p6010002.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-231" title="p6010002" src="http://opendebate.wordpress.com/files/2008/10/p6010002.jpg?w=300" alt="" width="300" height="224" /></a></p>

As we know it, the historical reason why westerners dominated the third world was because to get their dirty hands on the abundance of natural resources the third world possesses. Just look at Lembah Kinta in Perak where mining of tin could never be performed again because the metal had finished quite some time ago. With fewer natural resources, Malaysia’s development will suffer continuous friction that slows it down.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span> </span>However, we cannot deny the fact that colonialism has accelerated our development and technology advancement. Railway stations, telegraph, television and rubber estates are there because of the colonizers. It most probably will take us another hundred years to achieve that technology. Before the start of British rule over Malaysia, most states used traditional and inconvenient method to extract natural resources, administration of states and management of the economy. Not thinking of their method is the sole best way, but with the help of them, our nation had already had a functional system by the time our independence was at hand.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;"><span> </span>As the conclusion, the impacts of colonialism are with us until today. What we have to do is to break our dependence on the colonialism system and reform our political, economical and social system in our own ways. Never blame the past and its effects; emergence of racial fracture, exhaustion of natural resources and dependence on colonialism system, but we learn the mistakes of the past and improve the state of our nation.</p>

Of course I will make sure I take their name carefully in my two hands... And then I will crush it! I mean, I will respect their wishes and not make fun of them... Yeah, right... Like that is gonna happen! Sorry <a title="Looking in the mirror" href="http://cordieb.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">Cordie from Looking In The Mirror</a>, you asked for it. People, meet Johanna Ma Klein (Joanna Mother Small - Johanna pronounced as Yo-Ha-Na). Or rather the female version of John McClane - the guy from Die Hard (In my language it means The Heart). She is tough. And rough. You don't mess with her. Not if you love your teeth. You want to know how tough she is? I'll give you a few...</p>
<p>She's so tough when she gets into a cab and the cab driver asks where she is going she says, "None of your bloody business!!!"</p>
<p>She's so tough she wasn't breast fed as a baby, she went straight onto cappuccinos.</p>
<p>She's so tough that when she was a baby she pushed her own pram.</p>
<p>She's so tough that she never needs to brush her teeth, she just lets the toothbrush tremble in her mouth.</p>
<p>She's so tough that when she eats Smarties, she eats the red ones first. (Smarties = M&#38;M's.)</p>
<p>She's so tough that her answering machine doesn't answer to anyone except her.</p>
<p>She's so tough that when she goes to the beach she kicks sand in her own face.</p>
<p>She's so tough she's into Punk Yoga... That's when you stand on somebody else's head.</p>
<p>She's so tough Vitamins take her.</p>
<p>She's tougher than an English steak.</p>
<p>And this is a true story of our Johanna...</p>
<p>Three Englishmen were sitting together bragging about how they had given their new wives duties. Terry had married a woman from America, and bragged that he had told his wife she was going to do all the dishes and house cleaning that needed to be done at their house. He said that it took a couple days but on the third day he came home to a clean house and the dishes were all washed and put away.</p>
<p>Jimmie had married a woman from Canada. He bragged that he had given his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes, and the cooking. He told them that the first day he didn't see any results, but the next day it was better. By the third day, his house was clean, the dishes were done, and he had a huge dinner on the table.</p>
<p>The third man had married our South African girl Johanna. He boasted that he told her that her duties were to keep the house cleaned, dishes washed, lawn mowed, laundry washed and hot meals on the table for every meal. He said the first day he didn't see anything, the second day he didn't see anything, but by the third day most of the swelling had gone down and he could see a little out of his left eye. Enough to fix himself a bite to eat, load the dishwasher, and call a landscaper.</p>
<p>That's our Johanna. Tough as nails... But don't just believe me. Believe the photo evidence...</p>

It might look like it is evening but it isn't. It is daytime. Because even the sun is sh*t scared of Souf Efrikan women like Johanna. And that isn't just a normal street light. Oh no. It's one of those fancy electric mosquito gadgets. The light attract mosquitoesand then zaps them. And it doubles up as a tanning salon for Johanna. Just look at the pose. That's the Johanna tan-under-the-neck pose. She's also waiting for dinner. The mosquitoes in Souf Efrika is so big that we eat them like chicken. Fried.</p>

<p>No, not fish. She catches trains for dinner. See those tracks behind her? That's where she catches her prey... I mean food. Actually, this photo was taken from the last train a split second before she caught it. She's got a neat trick. She acts as if she's just fishing for some fish out on the sea to put the train at ease. And then when the train gets right behind her she swings that rod around and hooks the train. It's stops dead in its tracks. She used to stop it with her bare hands but she got really annoyed when she kept on chipping her finger nails. So she just spun her own string from her chest hairs to hook and hold the train - The chest hairs of Souf Efrikan woman are stronger than gravity... And stronger than the will to live...</p>

Her latest business is "building" escalators. Well, she doesn't really build them. She forced normal steps to turn themselves into escalators. By using her willpower. You can see it from this photo. She just grabs that railing and pulls herself and the steps higher up. And the steps starts moving all by themselves. And they dare not stop until she tells them to stop. That's our Johanna... She turns steps into escalators. She once turned coal into diamonds by blowing it on it. And she gave Superman a wedgie...</p>

<p>Look, Johanna is so tough she believes that the only things that should be red are her toenails and the blood showing on her knuckles. Yeah, she is one tough cookie. She smokes Marlboro reds - Sort of. But she hated the red packets. It clashed with her ice-cool blue eyes. And her dress. So she made Marlboro make a special packet of her type of reds just for her. In blue. It is not sold over the counter. Because her smokes are banned in every country in this world. Even in smoke capitals like China, France and Russia. One whiff of her smokes can kill a bull from a 100 yards. They say that the Russians gave up the Eastern block when she sat on the Berlin Wall having a smoke. It has been declared a WMD in most countries. Even in North Korea. Dubya knows that she carries these WMD's with her but he is too sh*t scared to do anything about it.</p>
<p>And that 2 finger salute? It's saying, "Eim gonna get myshelf u man wif too balls enda kut dem out enda put dem in dese too plestik kups eye heve rite here". (Accent included - I'm going to get myself a man with two balls and cut them out and put them in these two plastic cups I have right here.) Apparently, she is not into sweet talking much.</p>

When Johanna has her sights on a man... Okay, maybe sights isn't the right word. She only uses that at what she calls the "breakup" - when she uses the telescope or "sight" on her gun. Let's rather say that once she has her eye on a guy... No, wait. She only "eye" guys just before she hits them between the eyes. Mmm... When she wants to date a guy and not "take him out" in any other way than in a <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">loving</span> relationship, then she hunts him down the way a lion hunts her prey. And you know who wins that fight... Johanna has a much higher <span style="text-decoration:line-through;">kill</span> success rate than a lioness. But once she is in a "relationship"...</p>

She has him in her grip called the "Jaws of life". There is no way of escaping from this. When Johanna's hand locks over her palm like that nothing can break it. Unbreakable - Like a hyena's jaw. You can try a crowbar. No luck. Not even a ton of dynamite will break that grip.</p>
<p>You want to know why she has him in this grip? Look at the clock. You see the time on it? Just past 12:15... No, not in the morning. In the afternoon. And he left at 12 to go and buy some milk and bread. He said he would be back by 12:15. Look at the time... And where is the milk and bread? Do you see any? DO YOU SEE ANY MISTA? Her head is tilted slightly back... Or drawn back. She is ready to give him a kiss. A Souf Efrikan kiss... A headbutt... On the bridge of his nose.</p>

<p align="left">The infamous NASA [National Aeronautics and Space Administration]        <strong>Blue Beam Project</strong> has <strong>four different steps</strong> in order to implement the new age religion with the Antichrist at its head.        <span style="text-decoration:underline;">We must remember that the new age religion is the very foundation for the        new world government</span>, without which religion the dictatorship of the new        world order is completely impossible. I'll repeat that: Without a universal        belief in the new age religion, the success of the new world order will        be impossible! That is why the Blue Beam Project is so important to them,        but has been so well hidden until now.</p>
<p align="left"><span style="font-size:xx-small;"><a name="engineeredearthquakes"></a>Engineered Earthquakes &#38; Hoaxed 'Discoveries'</span><br />
The first step in the NASA Blue Beam Project concerns the breakdown [re-evaluation] of all        archaeological knowledge. It deals with the set-up, with artificially created        earthquakes at certain precise locations on the planet,  of <strong>supposedly        new discoveries</strong> which will finally explain to all people the "error" of all fundamental        religious doctrines. The falsification of this information will be used        to make all nations believe that their religious doctrines have been misunderstood        for centuries and misinterpreted. Psychological preparations for that first        step have already been implemented with the film, '2001: A Space Odyssey;'        the StarTrek series, and 'Independence Day;' all of which deal with invasions        from space and the coming together of all nations to repel the invaders. <p><em>Hoaxed "Discoveries' </em><br />
What is important to understand in the first step is that those earthquakes        will hit at different parts of the world where scientific and archaeological        teachings have indicated that arcane mysteries have been buried. By those        types of earthquakes, it will be possible for scientists to rediscover those        arcane mysteries which will be used to discredit all fundamental religious        doctrines. This is the first preparation for the plan for humanity because        <strong>what they want to do is destroy the beliefs of all Christians and        Muslims on the planet</strong>. To do that, they<strong> need some false 'proof'        from the far past</strong> that will prove to all nations that their religions have        all been misinterpreted and misunderstood.</p>
<p align="left"><span style="font-size:xx-small;"><a name="aliensarecomingshow"></a>The Big Space Show in the Sky<br />
</span>The second step in the NASA Blue Beam Project involves a gigantic        'space show' with three-dimensional optical holograms and sounds, laser        projection of multiple <strong>holographic images </strong>to different parts of the world,        each receiving a different image according to predominating regional national        religious faith. This new 'god's' voice will be speaking in all languages.        In order to understand that, we must study various secret services' research        done in the last 25 years. The Soviet's have perfected an advanced computer,        even exported them, and fed them with the minute physio-psychological particulars        based on their studies of the anatomy and electromechanical composition        of the human body, and the studies of the electrical, chemical and biological        properties of the human brain. These computers were fed, as well, with the        languages of all human cultures and their meanings. The dialects of all        cultures have been fed into the computers from satellite transmissions.        The Soviets began to feed the computers with objective programs like the        ones of the new messiah. It also seems that the Soviets - the new world        order people - have resorted to suicidal methods with the human society        by allocating electronic wavelengths for every person and every society        and culture to induce suicidal thoughts if the person doesn't comply with        the dictates of the new world order.</p>
<p>There are two different aspects of step two.</p>
<p align="left">The first is the <strong>'space show</strong>.' Where does the space show come        from? The space show, the holographic images will be used in a simulation        of the ending during which all nations will be shown scenes that will be        the fulfillment of that which they desire to verify the prophecies and adversary        events.</p>
<p>These will be projected from satellites onto the sodium layer about 60 miles        above the earth. We see tests every once in a while, but they are called        UFOs and "flying saucers" sightings.</p>
<p>The result of these deliberately staged events will be to show the world        the new 'christ,' the new messiah, <strong>Matraia</strong> (Maitreya),        for the immediate implementation of the new world religion. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Enough truth        will be foisted upon an unsuspecting world to hook them into the lie</span>.      "Even the most learned will be deceived."</p>
<p align="left">The project <span style="text-decoration:underline;">has perfected        the ability for some device to lift up an enormous number of people</span>, as        in a <strong>rapture</strong>, and whisk the entire group into a never-never        land. We see tests of this device in the abduction of humans by those mysterious        little alien greys who snatch people out of their beds and through windows        into waiting "mother ships." The calculated resistance to the        universal religion and the new messiah and the ensuing holy wars will result        in the loss of human life on a scale never imagined before in all of human      history.</p>
<p align="left">The <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Blue Beam Project will pretend to be the universal fulfillment        of the prophecies of old</span>, as major an event as that which occurred 2,000        years ago. In principle, it will make use of the <strong>skies as a movie        screen</strong> (on the sodium layer at about 60 miles) as <strong>space-based        laser-generating satellites project simultaneous images to the four corners        of the planet in every language and dialect according to the region</strong>.        It deals with the religious aspect of the new world order and is deception        and seduction on a massive scale.</p>
<p>Computers will coordinate the satellites and software already in place will        run the sky show. Holographic images are based on nearly identical signals        combining to produce an image or hologram with deep perspective which is        equally applicable to acoustic ELF, VLF and LF waves and optical phenomena.        Specifically, the show will consist of multiple holographic images to different        parts of the world, each receiving a different image according to the specific        national, regional religion. Not a single area will be excluded. With computer        animation and sounds appearing to emanate from the very depths of space,        astonished ardent followers of the various creeds will witness their own        returned messiahs <strong>in convincing lifelike reality</strong>.</p>
<p>Then the projections of Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc., will merge        into one after correct explanations of the mysteries and revelations will        have been disclosed. This one god will, in fact, be the Antichrist, who        will explain that the various scriptures have been misunderstood and misinterpreted,        and that the religions of old are responsible for turning brother against        brother, and nation against nation, therefore old religions must be abolished        to make way for the new age new world religion, representing the one god        Antichrist they see before them.</p>
<p>Naturally, this superbly staged falsification will result in dissolved social        and religious disorder on a grand scale, each nation blaming the other for        the deception, <strong>setting loose millions of programmed religious fanatics</strong> through demonic possession on a scale never witnessed before. In addition,        <strong>this event will occur at a time of profound worldwide political        anarchy and general tumult created by some worldwide catastrophe</strong>.        The United Nation even now plans to use Beethovan's 'Song of Joy' as the        anthem for the introduction for the new age one world religion. If we put        this space show in parallel with the star wars program we get this: combination        of electromagnetic radiation and hypnosis which have also been the subject        of intensive research. In 1974, for instance, researcher G. F. Shapits,        said of one of the research proposals that, '...in this investigation it        will be shown that the spoken words of the hypnotist may also be converted        by electromagnetic energy directly and to the subconscious part of the human        brain without employing any mechanical device for receiving or transcording        the message, and without the person exposed to such influence having a chance        to control the information input consciously. It may be expected that the        rationalized behavior will be considered to have been taken out of their        own free will.'</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Anyone investigating so-called 'channelling' phenomena right now would        be wise to take this area of research into consideration</span>. It will be        noted that those who think of themselves as 'channellers' has escalated        rapidly since this type of research was conducted. It is uncanny how similar        their messages are, despite which entity they claim to be their source of        divine guidance. It would suggest any individual considering the credibility        of channelled information should be discerning and critically evaluate where        the message they are receiving originates, and if the messages are specifically      beneficial to the new world order.</p>
<p align="left">The Sydney Morning newspaper published an item on March 21st,        1983 which announced that the Soviets were invading the human mind, the        article having been submitted to the foreign editor by <strong>Doctor Nathan        Abnuengy</strong>, assistant professor in the faculty of agriculture in        Asia. It is worth quoting the article at length even though his grammar        is a little old. This article relates to the Soviets who created the supercomputer        we were discussing earlier and which is really important because these types        of computers can be run through satellites and through space. The computers        were fed with all the different languages and their meanings, the dialect        of all peoples were fed to the computers with objective programs. But we        are no longer talking about the Soviets; we are talking about the <strong>United        Nations</strong>, the minions of the new world order, who are feeding the        computers with the necessary information.</p>
<p align="left">The editor of the column in which the article appeared even        states that the piece made points too important to ignore. I think it is        possible that the persons who have created this mega-mind-control-program        could sell the software to an organization and not be aware that the client        might use the program and data to enslave all of humankind. Just imagine        how far they have advanced since that article was published!</p>
<p align="left"><span style="font-size:xx-small;"><a name="mindcontrol"></a>Artificial Thought &#38; Communication<br />
</span>The advancement of techniques propel us toward the third step in        the Blue Beam Project that goes along with the telepathic and electronically        augmented two-way communication where ELF, VLF and LF waves will reach each        person from within his or her own mind, convincing each of them that their        own god is speaking to them from the very depths of their own soul. Such        rays from satellites are fed from the memories of computers that have stored        massive data about every human on earth, and their languages. The rays will        then interlace with their natural thinking to form what we call diffuse        artificial thought.</p>
<p align="left">That kind of technology goes into the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s        research where the human brain has been compared to a computer. Information        is fed in, processed, integrated and then a response is formulated and acted        upon. Mind controllers manipulate information the same way a computer for        grammar manipulates information. In January 1991, the University of Arizona        hosted a conference entitled, 'The NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Current        and Emergent Phenomena and Biomolecular Systems.' What does that mean exactly?        It means this: We refer to one paper that was delivered at the conference        which stands out for its different attitude towards the development under        discussion at that time. It was, in effect, a protest and chilling warning        to the attending scientists about the potential abuse of their research        findings.</p>
<p align="left">Their findings, of course, stated that the United States has        already developed communications equipment which can make the blind see,        the deaf hear and the lame walk. It can relieve the terminally ill from        pain without the use of drugs or surgery. I'm not talking about science        fiction. A man might retain the use of all his faculties right up to the        moment of his death. This communications equipment depends upon a completely        new way of looking at the human brain and neuromuscular systems and radiation        pulses at ultra-low frequencies. Some of this equipment is now operational        within the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation        (FBI). It will never be used to make the blind see, the deaf hear and the        lame walk because it is central to the domestic political agenda and foreign        policy of George Bush and his puppet-masters of the new world order.</p>
<p>Domestically, the new communications equipment is being used to torture        and murder persons who match profiles imagined to be able to screen a given        population for terrorists; to torture and murder citizens who belong to        organizations which promote tolerance and peace and development in Central        America; to torture and murder citizens who belong to organizations who        oppose the development and deployment of nuclear weapons, and to create        a race of slave cult automatons, or what is popularly called 'the Manchurian        Candidates.' Overseas experimentation is taking place on hostages held by        the United States and Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Germany, Finland        and France. <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Additionally, there has been a long series of bizarre suicides        among British computer scientists, all of whom have had some connection        to the United States Navy. </span></p>
<p align="left">What is possible to ask before such a psychology of terror        is this: would any government, corporation or psychiatrist wilfully promote        such horror today? The answer is quite obviously, 'Yes.'</p>
<p align="left">Government agencies and the corporations that work with them        toward new world order are prepared to promote anything that will help them        achieve their objective of total social control. As for the question of        why: For one thing, if you terrify the public and make them fear for their        safety, they will allow you to implement draconian law enforcement practice,        disarm them and keep extensive records on them, and they only have to tell        you that it is all to protect you, of course. Secondly, it promotes the        decay of the present democratic forms of political systems, and leads societies        to search for alternative methods of political ideology. Of course, <strong>the        alternative has already been planned</strong>. It is called the new world        order and it will not have your safety or interests at heart. As George        Bush said: 'Read my lips.' Fear has always been used by powerful elite to        control and subjugate the masses.</p>
<p align="left">The old maxim, 'divide and conquer', is being played out to        the limit worldwide to ensure that everyone is frightened for their personal        safety, and to be suspicious of everyone else. This, too, is mind-control.        To go further in regard to the new technology which is at the base of the        NASA Blue Beam Project, we have to consider this statement by psychologist        James V. McConnell which was published in a 1970s issue of <em>Psychology        Today</em>. He said, 'The day has come when we can combine sensory deprivation        with drug hypnosis and astute manipulation of reward and punishment to gain        almost absolute control over an individual's behavior. It should then be        possible to achieve a very rapid and highly effective type of positive brainwashing        that would allow us to make dramatic changes in a person's behavior and        personality.'</p>
<p align="left">Now, when we talked before about that kind of ray and the        telepathic and electronically augmented communication, the kind of rays        that are fed from the memories of computers which store massive data about        humans, human language and dialects, and we said that the people will be        reached from within, making each person to believe that his own god is speaking        directly from within his or her own soul, we refer to that kind of technology        and that kind of thinking that same psychologist was espousing, that is:        we should be trained from birth that we should all do what society wants        us to do rather than what we want to do for ourselves; that because they        have the technology to do it, <strong>no one should now be allowed to have        their own individual personality</strong>. This statement and these ideas        are important because it is the basic teaching of the United Nations that        no one owns his or her own personality. And that same psychologist claims        that no one has any say-so about the kind of personality they acquire and        there is no reason to believe you have the right to refuse to acquire a        new personality if your old personality is considered 'antisocial.'</p>
<p align="left">What is important in this declaration is that the new world        order will be set up over the current system, meaning the old way of thinking        and behavior and religion will be considered the 'old' and incorrect way        of thinking and that they can change it at one of the <a href="http://educate-yourself.org/cn/uscconcentrationcamps28jun01.shtml">eradication        camps</a> of the United Nations to make sure that anyone with this        'antisocial' behavior will be disposed of quickly so that other modified        individuals will be able to fulfill the needs and agendas of the new world        order without being distracted by the truth.</p>
