[caption id="attachment_1681" align="aligncenter" width="64" caption="Sri Sathya Sai"][/caption]

Sathya Sai Baba - Buddha - Sai Buddha Gayathri
Bhagavaan Shree Sathya Sai Baba is the latest advent of the Divine in human form, just as Bhagavaan Buddha’s advent about 2500 years ago in order to uplift humanity in moral and spiritual terms. There are striking similarities between the two.

First, Buddha was known as Buddha the Compassionate. So is Sathya Sai who is compassion and kindness personified. Both of them epitomize the qualities of dhaya and dharma, i.e. compassion and righteousness based on love and non-violence. Love all, serve all. For both, Ahimsa is paramodharmah. Help ever, hurt never is the single most important motto.

Second, Buddha was so called because he was the enlightened person, and the cause of enlightenment of fellow human beings. Therefore, he is called Maha Maanava, a highly exalted human personality. Sri Sathya Sai is the quintessence of spiritual wisdom and practice of human values. He can be truly called Maanavatha Dharma Nirmaatha, the builder of the culture of human values. Both of them exemplify Buddhi Yoga, the yoga of creative intelligence for self-transformation and realization. Both are world preceptors (jagat gurus) of supreme wisdom. Aadhi Shankara calls the Buddha as the Prabuddha, the perfectly awakened one, and also as the emperor of all the yogis in Kali Yuga (Kalau Yoginaam Chakravarthi). Baba is acknowledged to be the emperor of Universal Spirituality, Prapancha Aaadhyaatmika Chakravarthi. Buddha or for that matter Buddhism is free from dogmas, it is not a proselytizing religion. So is Sanathana Dharma as expounded by Baba. It is a universal, ancient but ever new, eternal and pervasive moral and spiritual value system.

Third, Buddha’s form radiates ineffable peace in tranquility and serenity. He was called the prince of peace. So also Baba is the picture of Prashaanthi, perfect peace in contentment and bliss. Both combine supreme detachment within and Dhaarmik activism on the outside.

For peace, Baba says master your mind and become a master of the mind like Buddha. To control the mind control desires, and to control desires control the senses. Bliss is within one’s own-self and not outside, according to both the Buddha and Baba. It is only with the control of senses that one can reach the state of peace and bliss, as exemplified in the life of Buddha and Baba. Bhagavaan Baba also says where there is truth there is bliss, where there is bliss there is peace, and where there is peace there is God. Bhagavaan Buddha’s quest for peace led him to formulate the eight-fold path, which includes Samyak Dhristhi, total or good vision, Samyak Vaak, good speech, Samyak Shravanam, good listening, Samyak Bhabhaana, good thought and Samyak Karma, good actions. Similarly, Baba says watch your Words, Actions, Thoughts, Character and Heart. Both the Buddha and Baba stress silence to steady the mind. Truth (or God) is envisioned in the depth of silence, in deep contemplation.

Due to the divine inspiration of Baba on this Buddha Puurnima morning when He entered the Sai Ramesh Hall, filled with thousands of Buddhists and devotees from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Japan and India among others, in His resplendent deep orange coloured robes, my thoughts were so intensely focused on the two divine advents, that the Sai Buddha Gaayathree Manthra began to jell in my mind. This Manthra, in Vedhik Gaayathree format, is composed of 24 letters with three parts of 8 syllables each:

OM: DHAYATHMANAAYA VIDHMAHE
SAI BUDHHAAYA DHEEMAHI
THANNAH SHAANTHAH PRACHODHAYAATH

Meaning: We have come to know of this divine personality with supreme compassion. We wholeheartedly contemplate this divine Sai Buddha, the embodiment of supreme wisdom and spiritual power. We pray that this embodiment of divine PEACE and BLISS bestow on us the same felicity of peace and bliss and lead us to enlightenment and liberation.

The above Sai Buddha Gaayathree Manthra can be contemplated by anyone, at any time and at any place. Thereby a seeker gains the capacity to be kinder and more compassionate to all living beings; it also increases the power of discrimination between good and bad, and the permanent and transient as well as the power of determination to pursue righteous actions for human welfare. Furthermore, the Manthra yields inner peace and happiness and above all enlightenment, resulting in reaching the state of Sai Buddha-hood! Hail to Sai-Buddha!

Note: It is significant as in the case of the Sai Gaayathree that the number – equivalents of the letters contained in Sai Buddha Gaayathree total 109 according to the rules of Maharishi Vara Ruchi. On a par with the Sai (Eashwara) Gaayathree, it can be taken to mean that the recitation of this Manthra for 108 times will take the seeker to the final 109th step, as reaching the tassel (Sumeru) in the rosary (Japamala).

SAI BUDDHAM SHARANAM GACHHAAMI!

Brindavan Ashram, G. V. Subba Rao

I'd like to officially say that I didn't get Mama Mia. It's a musical set in Greece, with an Italian title and songs from ABBA. From the very beginning I was doomed. While everyone else wanted to see this, I had voted for The Lion King with Julie Tamor's incredible costumes...or The Blue Men with their "I don't get it" music...or anything with Cole Porter writing the songs. "It's supposed to be great!" my Pollyanna girlfriend said. Everyone agreed...except me. Unfortunately at that point I talked myself into going because I like disco ABBA...so I had this idea that it would be campy disco...just like ABBA. Boy was I wrong. "Why are they in Greece?" I kept thinking..."Mama Mia makes me think it should be in Italy?" "Where are the disco outfits?"...and so on and so on. Then at the very end of the saccharin sweet thing, they do all put on the ABBA outfits...but it's way too late for me. I've gone into the lobby to shoot myself.

Since then, my girlfriend has delighted me with a surprise of Spamalot, even though she's never seen one of the million showings of all the Monty Python movies that go on in our house. So I feel better...but Mamma Mia still sits in theaters everywhere sponging up space so I can't see Young Frankenstein.

It's not that I'm lazy and can't get to Manhattan...it's just that I spend a lot of money when I'm there. We have to stay overnight...at some great hotel where I can use all the towels and sit around in the plush terry robe watching HBO all night. I have to eat also...at some great restaurant...right now I'm eyeing Nirvana, an Indian restaurant with a great view of Central Park, or Lucky Chengs, in the Village...it's a drag queen cabaret-like Medieval Times but everyone's in sequins instead of armor.

So please do me a favor, Philly. Stop saying that Mama Mia's a great musical...because it's not. Guys and Dolls is a great musical-Mama Mia is a platform for straight middle-aged housewives that are going through a midlife crisis. Let's get some new blood in town...Young Frankenstein. I've read reviews...they weren't that great...but I'll take my chances.

Really, I should just go on a binge and write a musical myself: a lesbian musical.

Personal Best: The Musical

Xena, Singing-Warrior Princess

Bound: A Dark Musical Adaptation

All these would be great hooks...except that stereotypically it's the gay guys that are the Show Tunes fanatics. OK...how about the Sound of Music, but with Marylin Manson as the lead? NO? How about Guys and Dolls, but the "guys" and the "dolls" don't date each other...maybe Guys and Guys and Dolls and Dolls. You're right? Too long a title. How about a Westside Story, with the "Jets" being a gay guy gang and the "Sharks" being a lesbian gang? Wait...again the problem of mixing the sexes...wow, this is harder than I thought.

How about a musical with an Irish name, set in Australia with music from the BeeGees? Can't Keep O'Good Man DownUnder. With lots of drag queens and lesbians, and a big finale underwater on the Great Barrier Reef-with fighting like in that James Bond movie where they all have harpoon guns-Yeah!!!!!

I'm gonna start drinking and start writing...any ideas, just fire away...I'm sure we can write them into this blockbuster musical hitting theaters summer 2009.

Fuck it, I'm stealing this article wholeheartedly from Defamer because it's so goddamn true. I was one of the many people who "grew up in a time where [MTV] was perceived as alternative, cutting-edge, and cool," and I truly miss the network's salad days.

In reading this, I thought back to times when music videos dominated, reality shows were new and carried an authentic air of excitement, and youth culture had a truly influential, substantial, and inspirational voice to rally around.

Oh, sadness engulfs me. As originally posted on Defamer: Here, then, are seven iconic MTV personalities who would have no place on a network that now fills its programming with multiple iterations of the "spoiled rich girl" reality genre:

Pedro Zamora: Before The Real World became principally concerned with two things (castmate hookups, and acting as a feeder for the better-rated Challenges), it was filled with the sort of people who had never been seen on TV before — something reality TV can excel at, if it wants to. One of those people was Pedro Zamora, a gay, HIV-positive educator who died the day after his last episode aired on MTV. No less than President Clinton praised Zamora for giving the country a personal look into those living with the disease.

Why He Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: Who would he be able to hook up with?

Daria: It's hard to imagine, but MTV used to relate more to outcasts than potential prom kings and queens — and there was no one more acerbic than Daria Morgendorffer.

Why She Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: Not willing to make out with other girls.

Julie Brown: No, not the VJ famous for saying "Wubba Wubba," but the comedienne who hosted the outlandish Just Say Julie from 1989 to 1992. Absolutely everything on the network was fair game to her (long before Beavis & Butthead, she was playing music videos just to mock them), and she satirized sacred cows like Madonna and her own Valley Girl image with impunity.

Why She Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: According to this site, Brown was born in 1954, which meant she turned 35 during the first season of her show. 35! Can you even imagine MTV handing a show to a 35 year-old woman now? They'd sooner give the VMAs back to the Wayans brothers.

Tabitha Soren: It may be hard to believe, but there was a point when the MTV News reporter pictured above was derided as nothing more than a shameless attempt to sex up the news. Nowadays, even your local news anchor resembles Jenna Jameson.

Why She Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: Only male news personalities are allowed to grow old gracefully on MTV. And by "gracefully," we mean that despite pushing fifty, they are expected to dye their hair and dress like members of Good Charlotte.

Kurt Cobain: The frontman of Nirvana ushered in an age devoid of pop singers and boybands, where nerdy, unconventional acts like Radiohead and Bjork were given common rotation for their groundbreaking videos.

Why He Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: It's hard to break out as a music video star when you're relegated to 30-second clips playing alongside the end credits for Run's House.

The Kabel typeface: There may be nothing better associated with MTV than this iconic typeface, which was used to intro and outro every single video (and was phased out last year).

Why It Wouldn't Be Allowed on MTV Now: No more videos to intro and outro. Which brings us to our last item...

Music Videos: When Justin Timberlake won an award at last year's VMAs, he finished his MTV-dissecting speech by yelling, "Play more damn videos!" Sorry Justin, you're going to have to get your music videos the same way the rest of us do now: on YouTube, at 3am, after a drunken search for Arrested Development's "Tennessee" ends with a lonely, mangled singalong.

By the way, Downtown Julie Brown's signature line contained three Wubbas. I'm just sayin'.

Local music man Travis McElroy of Thick Syrup records has some big news: In October, Thick Syrup will release "Halloween Songs" by David and Jad Fair. Right on! Sounds like a great follow-up to the band's Monster Songs for Children that came out in 1998 on the Kill Rock Stars label.

From Travis:

"I'm very proud to put something out by the guys who helped shaped what i listen to today.

Jad Fair is a founding member of Half Japanese. He has recorded with Yo La Tengo, Daniel Johnston, Kramer, Monster Party, Jason Willett, Lumberob, Richard Hell, Strobe Talbot, The Tinklers, Naofumi Ishimaru, Mosquito, The Pastels, Teenage Fanclub, Phonocomb, DQE, John Zorn, God Is My Co-Pilot, The Tall Dwarfs, Thurston Moore, Eye, Moe Tucker, Eugene Chadbourne, Fred Frith, Mara Flynn, Kevin Blechdom, Terry Adams, The Work Dogs, Tom Ardolino, The Shapir O'Rama, R. Stevie Moore, Bill Wells, Tom Recchion, Isobel Campbell, Norman Blake, Steve Fisk, and David Fair.

Kurt Cobain had Half Japanese open for Nirvana on the group's 1993 tour. The band's history and influence are chronicled in the 1993 documentary Half Japanese: The Band That Would Be King."

Congrats to Thick Syrup--this is a pretty damn good get!!

This being a blog and all, I thought for a change that I'd have a go at doing the traditional bloggy thing and telling you all about my day.

But then I realized it would be far too much trouble, so here's a bullet-point list instead.

* Removed cat vomit from kitchen table.

* Had a nap after breakfast.

* Saw a man's willy. (It was attached to a worker dude who was taking a wazz round the back of a building site. I looked away.)

* Paid a check into the Post Office. (Nowhere near as simple as it might sound.)

* Had lunch with Mrs Fricative.

* Had a nap after lunch.

* Slept through an air-raid drill. (During which no-one is supposed to go outside, so I guess that makes me Full of Win.)

* Wrote -- or more accurately, rewrote -- five (5) words in a B section lyric.

* Bought a pineapple.

* Stumbled across this marvelous attempt to describe Nirvana, which the Telegraph, in its smug, fucked-up stupidity, saw fit only to ridicule:

"Nirvana cannot be described because there are no words in existence for doing so. Not non-existence either, it is beyond the very ideas of existing and not existing."
(exam response from an unidentified student at the St Helens College of Art and Design)

* Considered changing my name to 'Riley', as in 'the life of'.

(*) I am not in fact a poet.

Now, I know You all(almost all) have read the First Person Stories, my most controversial set of posts (till now).

But then, You can also see there's a DISCLAIMER on the right hand side of this page. Have you ever even considered or stopped to think about what I've stated in that Text Box? And have you ever thought of why some sentences are in Bold? Has the purpose ever occured to you?

Moreover, In some of my posts, I've included even post-concerning post-specific disclaimers. Now, Most of you know I am an artist. What will I do with all that imagination? Come on, Can't I even create characters and incidents? Has it come down to this? Has it ever occured to you that all those where written in First Person Perspective?

I'm saying this because I've heard people letting out all sorts of assumptions. Now where in the hell in my posts have I ever revealed who RT was? Some of you are smart that you think you've figured out who it is eh? Some of you also have asked me, but I simply don't remember telling anyone who she was. Then you might also know Dane, actually you should have known Dane. She's 17, and she is 'top' class. It's a work of Fiction for Hell's sake! They are Characters. Gawd! Look at yourself. Haven't you ever read Fiction or what?

Among you all are also people who have been studying with me in the same class for more than 10 years. I ask you. How the fuck did you even guess I was the 'Me' I mentioned in these posts. I thought You all knew how I would respnd if something of the same gravity occurs to me, in person. And you thought I was writing a Diary! Fuck!

First I thought I was doing right in keeping quiet. You all went on assuming as if it was real. Now, at that time, I thought my writing has crossed its barrier from Fictitious to Reality writing, just like HD tech to 3D TV, and as a blogger, I felt happy with whatever my writing has achieved. But then using my writing, and making it appear real to create problems for me was the last thing I expected.

Come on, just look at the comments on those posts. Everyones' going non-stop saying "Oh, get a Life man!", or "Move on dude, Kalayada athu". Now I just dont know why I got such responses for writing Fiction! :|

I know I got a lot of silent readers from those posts. Especially Gossip-peeps who always fill the Page3 column among friends. The thing about them is that I know you are there(Ya, you get stats for everything in Wordpress), They know they are there. But the comments box and the other readers arent aware they are there. :|

And Some of my Friends were actually ready to accept the notion that it may be true. They actually thought I was publishing Gossip about myself! What sad shit! Thats what I fuckin get after all those years of friendship!

I have a real bad temper. Now if anyone assumes stuff and shoots out shit in a conversation, It's normal for me to get enraged, and shout and swear back. Someone has to understand me too na. Taking all this to the real world is a big mistake, and I seriously hate it. And I feel sorry for anyone who actually believed whatever shit others told and what you assumed by these posts and put a full stop to every kind of contact with me. I also feel guilty in my way. But then I never expected relationships, even if they are friendships, to be so shallow that some Gossip n a fictitious blog post were enough to nuke 'em, eh?

PS:

You=People who think they know me in real life + Silent Readers. New faithful readers excluded. They are the best. Always takes stuff in the spirit I write 'em. :|

Me(in FPS series)(aka I, Myself)=Suppressed highly emotional character who plays in lead in FPS, whose name isnt revealed, and who narrates the stories. :|

RT(in FPS series)=Just another character from my imagination. She is Beautiful, has long hair, dances well, studies in a girl's school, is real slim, and I can bend her anyway I want because I MADE HER UP! that too in early 2006! Now do you realise the height of immaturity when you still believe she is real, and you assume her to be someone else, heh? There may be lots of girls fitting that description. I know more than 3 of my friends who fit the description. But then, what the heck, that's purely coincidential!!

Dane=My first fully formed Imaginary character. She is a kickass 17 year old. Beautiful and slim yet athletic. Has a lot of bucks and a shooting Range of her own. SHe's a trained athlete, a great swimmer, and a dancer as well. She was junior to RT. And she was made by me in late 2004.

I have met the others who write here, like *Gazza (Hes always grumpy, he reminds me from someone in the muppets). *Tez, shes cool, im going to be like her when im really old too like her. *Hippy is always tripping on something, whether it be E or his shoe laces (He looks as old as Santa, but skinnier, with a pipe that he says he uses for tobacco, like yeah, right). *Crowbarred looks like a rockstar, acts like a rockstar, but really hes more like Pee Wee Herman, just without the court cases. For most of the 90s, "emo" had been an underground movement that almost completely evaded major label and mainstream control. Nearly every late-90s emo band that signed to a major label broke up before releasing an album. But where Clarity was seen as the quintessential emo album, Bleed American was a step away from that sound, standing closer to mainstream rock. While songs like the title track were certainly emo-influenced, songs like "A Praise Chorus", "The Middle", and "The Authority Song" clearly were not. However, since the mainstream media had nowhere else to attach the "emo" label, Jimmy Eat World continued to be referred to as an "emo" band, meaning that the term "emo" began to describe something completely different and more mainstream than what existed in the 90s. Major labels pounced, and began signing bands and releasing music that subscribed to this "new" version of emo. [Source:Wikipedia] (Emo's are cool ~ Jasmine)

Tom Linton's younger siblings, Ed and Jimmy, fought constantly when they were younger. Jimmy, who was stronger and heavier, would usually win. In one instance, Ed, as revenge, drew a picture with crayons of Jimmy shoving the entire world into his gaping mouth with the caption, "Jimmy eat world. Sporting a dry, sunny crackle that befits their home base of Mesa, Arizona, Jimmy Eat World's "The Middle" is a great summer rock song that actually sounds like summer. Guitars click at a rapid clip; drums are punchy, actually danceable, not merely mosh-worthy. Jim Adkins' tenor delivers a hopeful message to a fallen friend, tension mounts, the chorus hesitates for a split second of silence and then pow! The track explodes into a pure pop heaven of cheery possibilities. Moments like these reveal why Jimmy Eat World are Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge's favorite group (they recently played his wedding). This is a band of positive passion armed with an album of glorious potential hits. Bleed American's title track, bound to blow up a radio near you, is the best Nirvana-like tune since Kurt Cobain left this earth. Another churning cut, "Sweetness," runs a close second. Both conjure that shock of near-bubblegum catchiness, airtight ensemble attack and bittersweet mingling of anguish and uplifting melody that many bands fake but few can pull off. Better news is that the album boasts nine other tracks that don't sound anything like these two but are every bit as concisely designed and ardently delivered.

Using a disarming sensitivity, they speak to a youth culture frosted over by irony, prefab fun and knee-jerk belligerence. Jimmy Eat World favor technique over the unfocused outbursts of other emo bands, but their earnestness is breathtaking. "We once walked out on the beach, and once I almost touched your hand," Adkins admits in "If You Don't, Don't," invoking pop's eternal longing. Somehow he avoids being melodramatic - the only thing corny about this band is its typically emo name (although its acronym should adorn some kickass T-shirts).
"Jesus doesn't want me for a sunbeam.

Sunbeams are not made like me"

From "Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam" by The Vaselines

The above song was immortalised in Nirvana's "MTV: Unplugged in New York" live recording six short months or so before Kurt Cobain tragically took his own life. Whilst the song is somewhat child-like and cynical, I actually reckon it holds a fair bit of truth.

I've previously commented that many of the songs I learnt in my most formative years are the ones I can still recite perfectly. That is certainly true for me when I think about nursery rhymes or songs from Sunday School. What did we sing in those church halls in my pre-school days? "Jesus Love Is Very Wonderful", "My God Is So Big, So Strong and So Mighty", "Jesus Loves Me This I Know For The Bible Tells Me So" and the age old classic, "I May Never March In The Infantry" (Man, what was THAT one all about?)

When my three and a half year old is really happy, she will sometimes burst into song. Some of it is the songs she learns in nursery. From time to time it cheers my heart when she spontaeneously breaks into "Our God Is A Great Big God" or "1,2,3,4,5 my Jesus is my life!" with great enthusiasm. It gladdens me in equal measure when she joyfully announces "I love you. I am the milkman of human kindness, I will leave an extra pint" (from Billy Bragg's "The Milkman of Human Kindness").

So hopefully, some truths are being sown in this little life and I pray that some day she will find her own faith. I pray that the example that my wife and I set will make it seem really natural for her to grasp a worldview where the God of the Bible is central to that. I pray that we would not brainwash her or impose some hand me down faith that she doesn't own for herself.

Does Jesus want me for a sunbeam? Well, I am called to be salt and light. To be distinctive, to add flavour to the world around me, to preserve what is good, noble and true, to bring hope and direction into darkness. But a sunbeam, just sounds so twee and makes me think of sticking my head in the clouds and not tackling life head on. It troubles me when we sing songs like "Oh, Happy Day" in church, because the lyrics seem to polarised and not really a reflection of what seems to me like real life. Maybe I have just always preferred the minor chords...

So if Jesus doesn't want me for a sunbeam, what does he want of me? What does he want of you?

I think we cause ourselves a lot of frustration in life by never gaining a satisfactory answer to that particular question. I have often wished I had the giftings or abilities of others. Sometimes I have taken on responsibilities that I have found draining because, whilst I could do them, they were not really what enthused me or what I am wired or shaped to do.

Undoubtedly, the most helpful thing I have done in my Christian life was to work through a book called "The Network Ministry Resource" by Bruce Bugbee and Don Cousins. It helped me clarify what my spiritual gifts and natural abilities were, what I'm equipped to do, what my personal style is and how I can use that with authenticity and where I'm actually motivated to get involved. As a small group we worked our way through this for a few months, affirming, challenging and holding each-other accountable. I now base so many of my decisions on what I learned from that book. I would strongly recommend it to everyone and I provide a link here for the leaders pack which has a DVD resource, etc and another link here for the participants' book.

I know that most of our small group found this a really important investment of time. Even if you're not affiliated with a small group of folks in a regular or structured way, there are ways of getting people around you who can be accountable even via the phone or Internet. That has also been equally true for me in my journey thus far.

I can only say how useful I have found this exercise. It has shaped my work life, home life and church life and helped me pick up and explore some new things (including this blog) and set down some other stuff.

Thanks to an old friend for transcribing a series of questions fielded at Mahachula Buddhist Univers

Thanks to an old friend for transcribing a series of questions fielded at Mahachula Buddhist University in Bangkok, Thailand in 1997.

I have been able to translate most of it. Hope it's enough to give you a basic idea of Tathagata's teaching. The original Korean is at Nature's Teaching. Scroll down for this Q and A.
Any mistakes are mine in translation. Please enjoy!

-------------

Q: What is your Enlightenment?

A: The truth of what exists.

Q: What is the meaning of 'Tathagata'?

A: I have explained that it means achieving perfect Enlightenment and seeing what exists.

Q: Do you mean seeing the future?

A: Tathagata means seeing Truth inside what exists.

Q: What is Truth?

A: Truth is what exists and the things which happen inside phenomena that make what exist come into being.

Q: Are you a Buddhist?

A: I don't have a religion. My teaching is the same as Gautama Buddha. However the things which Gautama Buddha could not teach which I can accurately prove are the way of Enlightenment and the secret of the phenomena of repetition's changing period.

Q: Is your teaching Buddha's teaching?

A: It's the same as the content which Gautama taught. Even if I say the same things as Gautama Buddha you aren't able to recognise them properly. The reason is because Gautama Buddha's teaching has changed over such a long period of time you aren't able to know what Gautama Buddha's teaching is.

Q: Do you accept Buddha's teaching?

A: Buddha taught what exists. You can see his teaching anywhere in the world. My teaching is also simply letting people know what exists.

Q: What is the point of your teaching?

A: The truth about what exists.

Q: Do you have a family?

A: I have a wife, a daughter and a son.

Q: Do you teach these things to your children?

A: So far my children haven't tried to obtain Enlightenment.

Q: If your children haven't tried to be enlightened wouldn't it be more difficult for other people?

A: It was like that for Gautama Buddha at first too. When he went home after his Enlightenment his family didn't want to follow him.

Q: Will you teach these things to you children in the future?

A: It's possible if the environment changes.

Q: Is your teaching the same as the person called Shing Hai?

A: How can the teaching of an ordinary person and the Enlightened Being be the same? If you really wonder you can confirm directly. I met nearly all of the famous teachers in the world. I have met Shing Hai. That time she said she would follow me if she got the time.

Q: Did you keep the five precepts before becoming Enlightened?

A: The precepts mean the five teachings people need to keep themselves while they are alive. People with a sound basis are able to keep the precepts naturally even without learning them.

Q: You achieved Enlightenment without knowing the five precepts?

A: I have never learnt the precepts. And i never heard about them from anybody.

Q: Do you believe in Heaven and Hell?

A: I can explain about Heaven and Hell. Everybody comes to stay in different dimensions according to the result in their lives.

Q: You said that after your Enlightenment many people left you. Why did that happen?

A: That's because the sight which our consciousness's has is different from each other. I always wanted them to turn out well through what exists, but they never wanted to accept my help.

Q: Why is what you are doing difficult and arduous?

A: I'll ask you something. Can a blind person see this fist?

Q: It looks like we are unable to follow your teaching as we are blind.

A: That's it. But I forget that and just keep trying to reveal things of the world. All of the saints did this kind of thing in the world.

Q: Who are the saints?

A: Socrates drank poison and died. Jesus was captured by his brethren, nailed to the cross and died. Lao Tzu wandered and died without meeting one disciple. Guatama Buddha achieved perfect Enlightenment but didn't have anywhere to deliver it so he died on the roadside searching for people when he was over 80 years old. So I am treated quite well.

Q: Your teaching and ideology seem very easy. We know that attaining Enlightenment and Nirvana is very difficult. Are you a Buddhist Monk?

A: Before I was born into the current world I was the Central Buddha that was in Paradise. Central Buddha means the one who is most central of the Buddha's. Life must exist for Enlightenment. People who's life doesn't, will not understand the true meaning of the Buddha's teaching even if they are reborn a hundred times. What I would like to emphasize is this: Do you want to learn from somebody who knows? Or do do you want to learn from somebody that doesn't? That's the point. That's what you have to decide by yourselves. If you don't get truth from what exists, you will be without Enlightenment and you will never meet the Buddha you want to meet.

oleh Bhante Thich Nhat Hanh

Buddhis mengutamakan latihan batin konsentrasi terpusat. Menyadari sepenuhnya bahwa tanpa konsentrasi, tanpa membuang gangguan mental, maka meditasi sulit memberikan hasil. Konsentrasi membawa ketenangan, kedamaian, kestabilan, menghadirkan suasana melegakan.

Miyavi, the name of a Japanese singer. He has a great voice and he rocks the guitar. Today there was an interview in the ANIWAY and it said that he was in The Netherlands in June. He apearantly gave a concert in P60 and I missed it! I just can't believe it. He is one of my favourite Japanese singers and he looks so good.

I normally post Cryptic Blogs on Monday, but with the exciting news of the new addition to my family

I normally post Cryptic Blogs on Monday, but with the exciting news of the new addition to my family, I put it off one day. So TODAY is Just Another Cryptic TUESDAY!

At a recent concert, Madonna post pictures of Presidential hopefuls Barack Obama and John McCain. Obama's picture alongside John Lennon and John McCain alongside Adolf Hitler. I am not one to get political on this blog, nor do I honestly know who I am going to vote for in the upcoming election. All I know is that I liked Madonna a lot better back in when she dressed in slutty clothes and sang cheesy pop songs.

It's raining in Nashville. We have needed it for a while now, but it makes getting out of bed to workout even harder.

My Bride and I went to Satco to see my friend Dave Zaccari's band "Tongue and Groove" play on Saturday night. They played a lot of 90's rock songs. Tacos, beer, and Nirvana make for a good night. Great job Dave!

The Olympics are over. The Redeem Team won the gold. I read yesterday that while all of the players receive a medal, the coach does not. Normally I would go off on a rant about how this isn't fair, but seeing how the coach for this year's team was Coach K... I can see their point.

Jessica Alba has already lost 25 lbs of baby weight in just two months! Apparently It really does "never rain in California." That, or she has a lot more willpower than I do. I'm gonna stick with the rain theory.

This Saturday is the beginning of College Football season. In TN, it is like a Holiday. I am just hoping UNC wins more than 6 games this season. GO HEELS!

It's Labor Day weekend this weekend. Is it just me, or did this summer fly by?

In the worst casting new in HISTORY, I read that Chris Nolan (the guy behind Batman Begins and Dark Knight) is considering Cher for the role of Catwoman.

They are adding a fourth judge to American Idol this upcoming year. They are also rumored to not show as many "Bad Auditions" this year. Does anybody really care about that show anymore? They peaked with Carrie Underwood, and just went downhill from there. The only hope is to keep Paula Abdul loaded so she can act goofy and drunk. Another great idea would have been to have William Hung as the fourth judge. I might would consider watching it again then.

September means the beginning of regular season Football and post season Baseball. Who do you think is going to go all the way in both sports this year. I am rooting for the Panthers and Red Sox? Call me crazy, but keep in mind, I also want UNC to win more than six games this year.

Love Ya'll

Metalhead Revisited?? Poplåtar går kanske att skriva medan man drömmer, men blogginlägg ska nog författas i vaket tillstånd.
