...fragt der Meister den Schüler...

------------------------------------

Was bitte soll man darauf schon antworten, etwa "Nein!"?

{Satsang Highlights}

During a private meeting with my spiritual teacher, Pandit Ragmani Tigunait, I voiced my inability to discern which career path I should pursue. Should I go to to graduate school? Is journalism the trade for me? Or should I study the visual arts? While I wanted a black and white answer that would ease my confused mind, his advice was this: learn how to give with joy and success will always be with you.

Huh? Wise words, yes, but what if anything do they have to do with my current predicament? It wasn't for another year that I finally figured out why his advice was exactly right.

I knew he was right when I learned about yoga's model of the mind, particularly the highest function of the mind, which is called buddhi.

The buddhi is your intelligence and inner guide. It's your capacity to observe a situation and yourself with detachment. Buddhi is that voice of conscious in you that allows you to know whether or not your current actions are in line with your highest goals. But buddhi can get out of shape, just as a muscle weakens and shrivels with lack of use; the more your actions are guided by your cravings and selfish desires and not by your intelligence, the less available buddhi's wisdom is to you.

Buddhi, your intelligence, can also be corrupted. When you chronically focus on low-grade goals like making sure ice cream follows every meal, then buddhi looses its power to free you from your habits, to steer you towards true freedom, and to recognize right from wrong. To keep buddhi free and able to observe life untainted, your highest goal must stay in the forground of our mind. As soon as your motive shinks from the greater good to selfish gains, you'll lose sight of your true aspirations and the ability to disinguish the best course of action for yourself.

The solution to my confusion then was not for anyone, not even my guru, to tell me what I needed to do. The solution was to develop my own ability to determine the best course of action for me, which can only be done by acting on my intelligence, aligning my actions with my highest goals, and surrendering selfish desires for the greater good. Then, as Panditji stated, "success will always be with you."

{Satsang Highlights}
I’ve seen it over and over again. As soon as my spiritual practice
by kim

{Satsang Highlights}

I've seen it over and over again. As soon as my spiritual practice

[caption id="attachment_40" align="alignright" width="300" caption="by kimm1970 "][/caption]

becomes second to anything, it disintegrates within a few days, weeks, or months. I had forgotten this until Panditji reminded me last night at satsang (Q and A with the guru).

I asked for advice: what should I do when I'm spiritually stuck, when I'm in decent on Life's rollarcoaster, when I don't even care whether I grow or not. What, I asked, should I do when I'm spiritually constipated?

Panditji's answer was so simple and matter-of-fact. He said my problem was the 8th obstacle as laid out by the Yoga Sutra 1.13. Translated, it reads: "Effort to stay there is called practice." He trailed off to an example--one using a metaphor I understood all too well--about a practitioner who would practice intensely for two to three months. Then they'd take a break from their practice by staying up late one night. In his story, the action of staying up late was an indicator that the practitioner had forgotten her true, highest goal, which in practical terms was to get to bed by 10pm so that she could wake up by 6:30am and meditate for 30 minutes.

It wasn't, I've come to understand, the action of staying up late for one night that was the problem, it's the fact that for a whole evening I'd lost sight of my goal. This periodic blindness, if entertained, will grow and become the norm, which is exactly the rut I'm finding myself in now. To stick with my spiritual practice, I must strive to live with my highest goal in sight as constantly as an advanced yogi meditates on their mantra.

Of course, it's easier said than done. Have you ever been spiritually constipated? How did you get yourself back on the path?

Gujarat HC orders Spiritual guru asaram to compensate violence victims
8/27/2008

Spiritual guru Asaram Bapu received another jolt as the Gujarat High Court directed that a case be registered against his ashram here regarding the alleged attacks by his disciples on journalists on July 18.

The Court has also ordered Asaram Bapu to pay compensation to the people who were injured in the citys Motera area clash, when journalists were assaulted and their cameras broken.

The court directed the police to register FIRs if any person approaches them with complaints.

The ruling came after an NGO, Jan Sangarsh Manch, filed a PIL demanding that the court direct the state government to probe the attacks, allegedly by the supporters and disciples of the spiritual guru.

The bodies of two minor children, staying at the ashram’s gurukul, were found near the ashram on June 7. Since then the ashram is in the eye of controversy as a series of allegations against the ashram and Asaram’s son Narayan Swami, regarding his sexual and financial misconduct, have been levelled and put the spiritual father-son duo under the police scanner.

I took Mantra diksha from Param Pujya Bapuji in the year 1996. A few months later. I met Gurudev at Amdavad Ashram. I sought Pujyashree’s blessing to become Deputy Superintendent of Police. He gave me a mantra and told me to continue my studies. I started regular japa of the mantra and in just one year, I became Deputy Superintendent of Police. Now I am posted at Nanded. Indeed Param Pujya Bapuji’s blessings have done it all. By the Grace of His Holiness I am serving the society and wish to be so blessed that I may contribute my services with even more sincerity and integrity in future.

I will start with the latest flood of allegations against Sant Sri Asaramji Bapu. If we look at the whole episode with a little common sense than the whole matter will be crystal clear in front of us. I am feeling sorry for our so called intelligent media as how can they miss on these flaws. Or on the other hand, are they intentionally not showing the other side of the coin?
Now the question arises is that who were they who promised them for a free ride? Why only to gurukul kids and that too in a hidden way? This shows that a plot was made and somebody came there to execute it on that day. Hence, there is a possibility that someone came on that day and took the kids away from a particular location.

Point No. 2 –

Now kids were found missing on 03/07/2008, however, no clue was found and suddenly on 16/07/2008 somebody found them dead near Sabarmati River. Then on 17/07/2008 there was no reaction from people and on 18/07/2008, right on Guru Poonam when millions of followers were scheduled to come to ashram, Ahmedabad band was announced when Vaghela family (Parents of deceased children) was not even in favor of it.

This shows another chapter of the same story that was started on 03/07/2008. As per the plan, bodies of the departed souls were kept near Sabarmati River and an announcement was made. A plan was already ready, therefore, on 18/07/2008 they showed their anger and Ahmedabad band was called. The question arises is that why was nothing happened in between from 03/07/2008 till 16/07/2008? Was somebody waiting for some particular day? There is again a chance of high possibility that this was done to disrupt the Guru Poonam celebrations at Ashram.

Point No. 3 – On 18/07/2008, different groups of anti social elements were scattered all over Ahmedabad and destroyed public property and harassed people that were going towards Ashram. They were beaten up and were stopped on the way towards ashram. People who were waiting in the queue for Bapu’s darshan were also harassed and many incidents of chain snatching were happened over there. Few people who were part of this mob entered into the Ashram (wearing white kurta-pajamas, claiming to be Bapu’s follower) and destroyed the vehicles which were in the parking of Ashram. Now why would sadhaks (Bapu followers) who were present inside the Ashram destroy their own vehicles? Why would sadhaks attack on other sadhaks who are coming to ashram?

When some of these anti social elements were held by Ashram people then they admitted that they have been hired by giving Rs.200 to do these activities in the bandh. As per some other sources, none of these were from Ahmedabad. Everyone in Ahmedabad very well knows Bapu and could not do this heinous act against him. As per an unofficial statement, 2 trucks full of these people were brought from Vadodara to disrupt activities in Ahmedabad Ashram. Hence, there is a possibility that other such people were also hired and brought down to Ahmedabad in trucks from different regions just to do this act.

From all the above points what I can infer is that a well planned high level conspiracy was done against Bapu and media just showed one aspect of it and that too in a way that the image of Saint gets diminished, who is a source of inspiration for millions of people around the world. This also raises questions against the media. Are they also been funded by some agencies to show only one part of the story and that too in a negative way?

Chhindwara Incident

After Ahmedabad, the next target was Chhindwara. Here, on 29/07/2008 and 31/07/2008 again two innocent gurukul children were killed and found dead in the bathroom of gurukul. Thankfully, local police solved this case and found another gurukul student “Rituraj” accountable for this crime with proper evidence. Media just showed this much and raised questions against Chindwara Ashram authorities and accused them of not taking care of children. This was done when parents of both the deceased children gave a clean chit to the Ashram and even they stated that some conspiracy has been done against ashram.

Now come to the other part of the story. These respectful investigative media persons did not even try to do a background check of Rituraj. Nobody tried to enquire whether or not there is a criminal case pending against his father? Whether or not there is a criminal history of his uncle? What is their financial background? How come within a month this family managed to get a brand new Qualis when the financial condition of the family is not too good? How come their lifestyle improved? Where did they suddenly get so much money from? Why after the death of Ramkrishan on 29/07/2008 this guy told Ramkrishan’s uncle to also take his child out of the gurukul otherwise the same thing can happen to his child? Just to add up, this guy was admitted to gurukul, just few days back on 10/07/2008. As a result, just like Ahmedabad Chindwara bandh was also called and mob attacked ashram people and destroyed ashram property.

Again the question arises, was this also a well planned incident? Who are financially assisting these people to do these acts? Our media, again showed only one side of the coin and did not even try to find out the truth behind it. Are they also likely to be involved? Is there a big nexus that is working against Bapu and Hindu Saints?

Physical assault

In a row of incidents that were happening, all of a sudden from nowhere a lady came into picture and started accusing Bapu for physical assault. The interview of this lady was shown live on one of the News channel. Now would you call it an irresponsible behavior of media or an intentional attempt of them to show this without even researching about the facts? The lady claimed that the incident was happened with her at Rewari in 2001. Just to let you know that Bapu is a famous personality and wherever he does satsang the whole world knows about it. It gets published on Ashram’s monthly magazine “Rishi Prasad” and along with that the dates of satsang are shown on several satellite TV channels. Hence, every day of Bapu or every famous person for that matter, gets registered. If they would have researched the truth about the dates she has claimed then they could have easily found out that Bapu was not in Rewari in the year 2001. Secondly, why after so many years this lady suddenly came into picture and started accusing Bapu? If this thing was happened to her then where was she during these many years? Why didn’t she report this to police?

Now the question that arises over here is, was this thing made up? Was the lady hired by someone? Was the news channel intentionally showed the live interview without any research? Was it planned to highlight this kind of thing after the Ahmedabad and Chindwara incidents to diminish the image of Saint?

Other Issues

There are many other incidents that happened side by side like blaming Bapu’s son Narayan Sai, Ashram’s land issue, raid at godhra pharmacy, questions against neem tel when it has already got approval from the government stating that no poisonous substance has been detected in it.

Indian Saints or Indian Culture?

Now, the big question is why all these things are happening against Bapu? Here, I would like to mention that this has happened almost with every popular Saint in India. Remember the allegations against Sathya Sai Baba, then against Shankracharya Jayant Saraswati, and most recently Swami Ramdev? Hence, it is not a particular Saint that is on the target but it is our rich Indian Culture which on its own is growing rapidly and the whole world very well the potential of it. However, some people do not like if we are growing with that pace. They know that Dharma is the only thing that is uniting all Indians and the major reason behind our growth.

The answer of this is again an assumption, however, has a very high possibility of being true. Also, it is a very broad picture that comes into our mind and need a genuine consideration with a clear and focused mind. Everyone knows that Bapu is a well known saint in India and has millions of followers all over the world. One fact is that as they are followers of Bapu, therefore, they are united, practice religion and make sure that Indian culture never die. You would agree that every saint who has some followers are definitely united and practice religion. Many of these people are also responsible for the growth of India and because of them India is set to become a super power. Even Bapu’s dream is also to see India at a position of “Vishwa Guru” by 2011. The possibilities of involvement of these people in any criminal activities or bad deeds are close to zero. The reason behind is there inclination towards spirituality. Clearly, these things are not at all liked by the anti social elements.

We know that world is facing grave danger today. With sharp fall in social, cultural and human values, mutual distrust and jealousy are increasing in the society, taking human beings far away from good values. Instead of providing security, cases of women being raped and murdered in the order of the day are becoming very common. In such a depressive scenario, spiritualism is the only way left to get rid of this situation. The teachings of saints and seers who have studied the human nature and intricacies of the life are useful and relevant. Our scriptures explain in detail such ideals, which are based on our culture, religion and philosophy. Hence, our Saints show people the right way of life and increase the capabilities of individuals. This is strengthening our culture, however, anti social elements want to destroy the roots of Indian culture completely.

Therefore, if one diminishes an image of a Saint then definitely it will have an impact on his followers and there belief in that Saint gets shattered. In turn, they will get divided and may follow a wrong direction. These people get vulnerable and can get easily molded. Hence, the anti social elements will become successful in destroying our culture. Because Bapu has millions of followers, therefore, if they succeed in their attempt then they can divide millions of people. Hence, by attacking popular saints one can easily divide the unity between there followers and in turn can break India and Indian culture. They want to take Dharma out of this country and want to weaken this country. Wise, sensible and intellectual people know that this country cannot survive without Dharma. Dharma is the only thing that is uniting us and guiding us in many ways and showing us different ways to become successful. Now the people/group/agency that wants to break the integrity of India and wants India not to flourish and follow the western way, has a soft target in front of them to do so and that is to attack Indian Saints. They know that because of them most Indians are united and are following religion and doing good things in life and being a part of India’s success. But they can’t see India and Indian culture growing and want us to lack behind in everything. They want us to consume coke, pepsi and these kinds of things so that it weakens our health and in turn we can’t grow physically and mentally. That is the reason when Swami Ramdev openly condemned the use of soft drinks then he was attacked as per the plan. Major reason was because after the popularity of Swami Ramdev, the sales of these companies were dropped very heavily. Just for your knowledge, the quantities of contents that are included in these soft drinks in India are much different from what it is in US.

Hence, it is a very broad issue and it needs to be investigated religiously and one should go into the depth of it. The attack is not only against our Saints but also against our culture which is the strongest in the world.

Role of media

The role of media is also very suspicious in these matters, which again raises many doubts in our mind. If you recollect, when the allegations against Shankracharya were made then it was the breaking news for almost all the channels and they focused on this issue for about a week. They completely tried to diminish the image of Shankracharya claiming that he has an affair with a women and charges of sexual assault. At that time people said that he cannot even get a bail and will get life sentence. However, when court case was filed against him and he came out of the court with a clean chit then no one showed anything about it. No one then put this news as breaking news. The only question is. Why?

Same happened when nothing was found in Swami Ramdev’s medicines. The issue was hyped as if he has done some murder and again it was breaking news. However, later when nothing was found then news channels also showed nothing on it. In the same way, media never showcased the good things that are being done by Bapu’s various ashrams in all over India. Free clothes, food, money that get distributed by Ashram on regular basis to poor people living in tribes all over India has never telecasted by media. The 100% result of the gurukuls has never been reported by media. They just know how to diminish the image of our Saints and that too without any evidences and without knowing the facts.

Media or Trial courts

Media has nowadays become so irresponsible that they are showing whatever they want to. As per the law, media has to show the version of the person against whom they are showing/writing in their respective channels/newspapers. However, they hardly do this. They even take the version of that person just to comply with the law, however, will show that in such a way that it does not impact their made up story. It seems that media is now our country’s new judicial arm. Without knowing the facts they start their trial on the person and make him/her an accused of a crime. Hence, create a wrong picture of that person in our mind.

Even our supreme court Chief Justice Mr. K.G. Balakrishnan has himself mentioned in one of his programs that “media trial” of pending cases is a wrong practice. The tendency of newspapers and news channels to carry unverified reports posed a danger to a free and fair constitutional judicial process. The manner in which “the modern media and telecommunications” intruded into a person’s life and caused embarrassing and damaging publicity, if left unchecked, would become “alarming.” The media trial, conveying public opinion in favour of one side or the other, particularly in criminal matters, had become increasingly frequent in recent times. Even before the court trial began, the accused was being shown as guilty.

This questioned the very premise on which the judicial system was based — the right of every party involved in a court proceeding to have his case adjudicated in a free, fair and unbiased manner.

Justice Balakrishnan said the media were a sentinel of democratic freedom. It was the responsibility of every person associated with the media to act responsibly with a sense of duty towards society and the nation. In fact, journalists were “vigilant watchdogs of civil liberties.” The right of the media to report court proceedings emanated from the right of the citizen to know. The media also had the duty to report fairly, objectively and accurately. He said the media should be wary of allowing itself to become a vehicle for exerting “mass pressure” as opposed to a “mere expression of mass opinion.”

Food for thought

What I strongly believe is that nothing will come out in all the made up cases against Bapu in the end. Media is hyping this issue to increase their channels TRP and may be for some other reason and once the issue gets resolved they will hardly show anything. Their only motive is to show what they want to show and diminish the image of Saints. Are they doing it under somebody else’s guidance? Is there a nexus of these people? These questions are for us to think about and let us pray that an unbiased investigation gets done in this case and the real picture comes out in front of us. I hope that this whole episode will turn in a blessing for all of us and results in a more powerful and strong Indian culture. At the end, we should also not forget Newton’s law that to every action there is always opposed an equal reaction.

Happy Krishna Ashtami !

Last year when I was posted to Durban Centre, I hardly knew how the various celebrations were conducted in South Africa by the Hindus in general and particularly by our Centre. So to my great pleasant surprise, I found our Durban centre and all its affiliates celebrating Rama Navami for 9 days and Krishna Ashtami for 8 days and Navaratri for 10 days contiguously.

[caption id="attachment_289" align="alignleft" width="372" caption="Radhakrishna at Temple altar of Ramakrishna Centre of South Africa, Durban during 8-day Krishna ashtami celebration"][/caption]

Take for instance the Krishna Ashtami celebration that went by at our Durban centre! There were Satsangs every evening from the first day to the last Ashtami day i.e. for all eight days with clock-wise precision! Satsang had a definite pattern. It consisted many items like kirtans of mahamantra, bhajans on Sri Krishna in Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu languages, chanting of selected shlokas from Bhagavad Gita, discourse by monks and lay scholars, readings from Srimad Bhagavatam, deeparati (waving of lights) and prasad distribution. On the evening of the ashtami, Satsang had two sessions.

The Janmashtami day prog starting at 6.00 pm with Puja to Lord Krishna by a devotee couple within the temple, went on to past midnight. Another couple did the last midnight arati. There were lot of bhajans and kirtans till the end of the prog. The temple was beautifully decorated. A yugal-murti of Radha Rani and Sri Krishna adorned the altar on all days. Finally with arati to BaalaGopaala and offering of flower to Him by every assembled devotee the prog came to an end with distribution of prasad. What new I saw was the keeping of a little cradle wherein a small murti of baby Sri Krishna was kept. And at the end of the prog at about 00.30 am, starting with self, every devotee just rocked the cradle and offered a flower at the holy feet of the baby Lord.

This year Swami Saradananda spoke for four days on the teachings of Sri Krishna as contained in the Gita. On ashtami night, in the first session during my speech, the birth incident as depicted in Srimad Bhagavatam was presented to the packed audience. To my pleasant surprise again, when I completed the chronicling of Lord's birth, it was midnight 12 in India!

In India, in no centre of ours, I had witnessed such an elaborate festival! The devotion of the devotees is worth noting; what a verve and vigour in singing bhajans! And faith and fervour in performing worship! And the day-long fasting and sitting in the temple for such long hours - absolutely maintaining utmost discipline - no chitchat, no gossip and all are tuned to the discourse and songs, well, I was greatly pleased and impressed with a new kind of experience that gave a boost to my devotional practices!

On this auspicious occasion I remembered how Sri Krishna was intimately inter-woven in the life of Swami Brahmananda, the manas-putra ('mind-born' son) of Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna who recollected one of his visions thus:

"Just a few days before Rakhal's coming I saw Mother putting a child into my lap and saying, 'This is your son: I shuddered at the thought and asked her in surprise, 'What do you mean? I too have a son?' Then She explained with a smile that it would be a spiritual child, and I was comforted. Shortly after this vision Rakhal came, and I at once recognized him as the boy presented by the Divine Mother."

Sometime in the middle of 1881, Sri Ramakrishna had another vision. He saw two boys dancing on a full-blown lotus floating on the Ganges. One of the boys was Krishna and the other was the same boy whom the Mother had previously placed on his lap. That very day Rakhal, crossing the Ganges, came to Dakshineswar from Konnagar; the Master immediately recognized him as his spiritual son.

And on the previous day of his departure from this world at 9:00 p.m. a very heart-rending incident occured. This excerpt has been taken from Swami Chetananandaji's book God Lived with Them.

.....he touched the hand of his attendant, who was seated nearby, and blessed him. A deep silence pervaded the room. The monks and devotees encircling Maharaj were anxious. He opened his eyes again and began to speak: "I am floating on the banyan leaf of faith in the ocean of Brahman. Vivek my Vivek - Vivekananda-dada [brother]! Baburam-da, Baburam-da [Premananda]! Jogen - Jogen [Yogananda]! I see the feet of Sri Ramakrishna!" Thus he was seeing and addressing the deceased disciples of the Master.

In the meantime Saradananda arrived. When Saradananda suggested that he sleep after drinking a little lemonade, Maharaj said: "My mind is in the realm of Brahman. It does not come down. All right, pour lemonade into Brahman!" After sipping a little he said: "Aha-ha, Brahman - the Reality - the vast ocean! aum Parabrahmane namah [salutations to the supreme Brahman]; aum Paramatmane namah [salutations to the supreme Atman]!" When Maharaj described his experience of Brahman, all felt peace and serenity in their hearts. He slowly calmed down. His face was glowing with joy and he gazed without blinking as if he were meditating, or seeing something.

After a while he exclaimed in his sweet voice: "Ah! here is the full moon - Radhakrishna! I want the Krishna of Ramakrishna. I am the cowherd boy of Vrindaban. Put anklets on my feet. I want to dance holding the hand of my Krishna. jhum - jhum - jhum! [It refers to the sound of the anklets.] Krishna, Krishna, Krishna has come. Can't you see him? You don't have the eyes. Aha-ha, how beautiful! My Krishna - on the lotus - of Vrindaban! It is not sad-Krishna. My play is over now. Look, the child Krishna is caressing me. He is calling me to come away with him. 1 am coming. . . . Om Vishnu, Om Vishnu, Om Vishnu! Maharaj greeted Shivananda and Abhedananda who came to see him.

Saradananda later said: "This time we shall not be able to keep Maharaj anymore. His vision of Krishna on the lotus, which the Master forbade us to disclose to him, has come out from his own lips." Ramakrishna's prophecy about his spiritual son Rakhal proved to be true. At 8:45 p.m. on Monday, 10 April 1922, Swami Brahmananda passed away. The next day his body was carried from Calcutta to Belur Math and cremated on the bank of the Ganges. Later a temple was built on that spot.

INDIA IS known to be a country of saints and gurus. Since prehistoric period, teachings of these great souls have made our lives more meaningful. Guru-shishya tradition is followed since ancient time. Guru Nanak Dev, Sai Baba, Gautam Buddha were the historic gurus of our land and the whole world acknowledges their teachings. Even today large section of society worships them and tag on their life with the teachings given by them. The guru-shishya discipline also has great importance in our religious epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata etc.

This tradition has been continued in today’s modern world as well, great souls like Asaram Bapu, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Ram Dev and many other religious gurus are working for the uplift of the society and preach the existence of one supreme conscience in every human being - be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh or anyone else. Society recognises their work and teachings and many people become their devotees.

But, in the recent past, we have seen some acts of defaming these divine souls, which comes as a shock. Some unsocial elements, which don’t want our country to be developed and can’t see peace in the society are denigrating our gurus.

The recent cases of violence against Asaram Bapu is the live instance of defaming a saint where a normal case of accident been transformed into a very dangerous political game.

Two students of the Asaram’s Gurukul were found dead along the coast of Sabarmati river in Ahmedabad. After police investigation and postmortem reports, it was concluded that their deaths were due to drowning in the river. But the father of the children who doesn’t have any forensic knowledge, raised questions against the reports and after this, some people abruptly came on the streets and started burning cars, buses etc. These goons might be hired by people, who are against the Ashram cult. In the garb of the death of two Gurukul inmates, there lies a malicious attempt to defame a saint who is harmonising the world. It may be a dirty game of politics. This may have happened with the support of some political parties and other violent groups in Gujarat, which did their level best to defame Asaram Bapu. Still, people in large numbers gathered at different ashrams of the saint all around the country at the festival of Guru Purnima. Thousands of followers from Faridabad reached at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, where a peaceful protest was organised by them.

Sanjay Sharma, a devotee from Faridabad said, "Asaram Bapuji teaches us lesson from Geeta and media is defaming him by saying that ’tantra mantra’ is done by him; so they are indirectly blaming Geeta for ’tantra mantra’ and you could check CDs and cassettes of him, you will not find anything related to tantra!"

Another devotee added, "Sentiments of lakhs of people have been hurt because of biased reports shown in media." In other cases of Chindawada, Madhya Pradesh, electronic media again tried to defame Asaram Bapu before the police solved the case, which proved how bogus were those news reports shown by the media.

Electronic media is also responsible for this violent streak. Their reports seemed counterfeit and were focussed on TRP instead of reality. It looks as if they have forgotten their social responsibility. For this, they bear the anger of devotees too. Apart from this, there were many defamatory attempts against many of the saints.

But anti-social elements and corrupt politicians have forgotten that Indian people have so strong a conviction in their culture and religion that defaming anybody would not have any effect on their beliefs and therefore, it will never serve anyone’s profit motive.Even in the past, saints like Gautam Buddha, Guru Nanak Dev and many others had to face defamation from negative elements. Since time immemorial we have seen that whenever a saint comes to uplift the society also come his foes. One can say that God incarnates himself only in the form of saints to ward off those negative elements and works for the betterment of the downtrodden.

Premonition of ‘5th child death’ at Asaram Ashram!

In what points at an ‘outside hand’, particularly with respect to deaths of Ramkrishna and Vedan

In what points at an ‘outside hand’, particularly with respect to deaths of Ramkrishna and Vedant at Chhindwara, a national newspaper came out with a sensational ‘premonition’ on Friday, August 1. One newspaper posted a news item on its website titled ’Now, fifth child found dead at an Asaram Ashram’, reporting a child death that had actually not occurred!

It ‘broke the news’ in its typical style: “In yet another case of mystery death, a boy was found dead at Asaram Bapu ashram in Ahmedabad on Friday. ( Watch ).” Although there was no reference at all to the ‘FIFTH CHILD FOUND DEAD’ elsewhere in the report except in the title and in the very first paragraph, it received almost 100 responses from outraged readers across the world. Quite predictably, they believed the report and suspected multiple murders.

The webcast was also picked up by vernacular and local tabloids and received wide publicity. Luckily, it failed to incite passions and trigger violence as earlier. After all, Ahmedabad was just limping back to normalcy after serial bombs killed 50 the previous weekend.

Incidentally, a judicial inquiry has been instituted by Gujarat. The dead boys’ parents discontinued their ‘fast unto death’ to demand justice as they expressed faith in due process. Similarly, in Chhindwara, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Chandrashekhar Neelkanth ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. Moreover, both parents of deceased children expressed their full faith in the school management. Puja Manmodhe, mother of Vedant, declared, “We don’t want the authorities to conduct the post-mortem of the boy.” She went on to say, “even if the school management is found guilty (of negligence) after a probe, we don’t want any action against them.” Vedant’s little sister will continue to study in the school.

Certain persons in the media house that broke the sensational story about the fifth death, apparently, had some premonition about it. This newspaper seems to be only one to be aware of this particular mystery. Perhaps, it didn’t come true due to some last minute glitch, like it happens in terrorist bombings.

Earlier, three scribes of this newspaper claimed to have ‘discovered’ that there was “no way” that two dead boys of Ahmedabad could have walked down to the place where the bodies were found in the riverbed. This ‘discovery’ flashed in the front page was supposedly based on their own personal experience! They were apparently part of a mob of 500 that attempted to barge into the Ashram to quiz Asaram, when he had gone there. The game-plan of the self-styled guardians of justice, who expected the treatment normally extended by corporate houses facing bad publicity, had been foiled by the police.

Some more journalists had set up a person, advertised as an uncle of the dead boys, to fabricate news for this tabloid. This gentlemen was portrayed as representing ’five crore Gujaratis’ demanding closure of the ashram.

He was unconcerned that the parents were satisfied with ongoing probe and ended their fast-unto-death! Incidentally, a local mob of Chhindwara too staged a violent demonstration demanding the closure of the Ashram there, even as the parents had given a clean chit.

It appears that the children’s death at Chhindwara was the handiwork of elements with vested interests in the closure of the Ashrams in Gujarat, MP and elsewhere. A ‘fifth mysterious death’ might have been planned to drum up public sentiments in favour of this demand.

Who planted the story of “a boy found dead at Asaram Bapu ashram in Ahmedabad on Friday”? The fictitious ‘fifth murder’ that did not happen and was reported even before it was successful may hold the key about the mystery. Probing this may lead to conspirators, who most probably include some journalists!

Is anti-Asaram outfit ‘Jagega Gujarat’ a mask of Congress?

Even very active, experienced and senior journalists in Ahmedabad had never heard about Jagega Gujar

Even very active, experienced and senior journalists in Ahmedabad had never heard about Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti before Asaram Bapu gurukul’s two boys mysterious death issue came into limelight. In last two weeks, this unregistered, unrecognized outfit Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti has announced two strikes in Ahmedabad and Gujarat. This outfit also organized a rally in Ahmedabad. Outfit grabbed considerably well media coverage too in Asaram issue. It is a general perception in media and among public that this outfit is self raised peoples body. But is this really a fact?

DeshGujarat investigated in this issue to know basic truth about this outfit whose strike calls resulted in torching of more than 40 vehicles, stone pelting at several places, closure of trade worth millions, and dozens of people injured in Ahmedabad. Interestingly, both strike calls announced by this outfit were supported by Congress party. And when we looked deeper into the organizational structure of Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti, we found this outfit not only Congress supported one but more or less like a mask and Congress party behind it.

Vice president of Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti is Mr. Naresh Shah who is secretary of Gujarat pradesh youth Congress. On his visiting card, his office address is shown as Rajeev Gandhi Bhavan, behind V.S. hospital, Paldi, Ahmedabad 7 which is a Gujarat Congress headquarter address. General Secretary of this outfit Mr. Nirav Bakshi is also former General Secretary of NSUI which is a student wing of Congress party. Nirav Bakshi is son of Congress corporater Surendra Bakshi who is leader of opposition in Ahmedabad muncipal Corporation. Gujarat Congress vice president Ashok Punjabi has been appointed as an adviser of this outfit recently after rickshaw union under his leadership supported the strike calls.

However president of Jagega Gujarat Mr. Prakash Kapadiya who has import-export business claims his outfit is non-political. President of another self-created body ‘Gujarat merchant chamber’ Kapadiya says, he himself bared the expenses of 1,30,000 Rs. newspaper advertisements for announcement of strike. He claims he does this only for social cause. He also claims that Narendra Modi does get frightened by his name because of his high voltage public movements such as Octroi abolishment and Asaram issue where government had to succumb. Meeting between governor of Gujarat and Asaram Bapu gurukul’s two dead boys’ parents was also organized by Kapadiya. Kapadiya is not happy with the recent decision of dead boys parents to meet the chief minister to end indefinite fast without getting their demand of CBI probe fulfilled. Parents of dead boys had earlier even not supported Gujarat wide strike call announced by Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti. Gujarat wide strike call was a failure out of Ahmedabad.

Jagega Gujarat sangharsh samiti is going to organize a press conference on Sunday. Latest demand of this outfit is to kick out Asaram ashram from Ahmedabad and Gujarat! Interestingly this latest demand was originally coined out recently in a Gujarati column by famous columnist whose proximity with Congress is decades long and undoubted. His book was inaugurated by Congress president’s political advisor.

Goons were hired by people, who are against Sant Asaram Ashram and Hindu sanskriti to create chaos,

Goons were hired by people, who are against Sant Asaram Ashram and Hindu sanskriti to create chaos, in the name of two dead gurukul inmates on 'Guru Poornima'. Author opines about the truth behind the death of two children and the following events..

THE TRUTH behind the incidence of ’Guru Poonam’ in Ahmedabad.

Would the sadhaks break the glasses of their own vehicles? If no, then it’s conspiracy hatched by those who are against Ashram and the Hindu sanskriti.

Would the ashram authorities or Sant Shri Asaramji Bapu hire goons to harm the devotees coming from all parts of the country. If no, then the media is conniving against the Ashram sevadhaaris and coordinators, and is attempting to blemish the image of venerable Sant Asaram Bapuji.

Goons were hired by people, who are against Ashram and Hindi sanskriti, to create chaos. In the name of death of two gurukul inmates, it’s a malicious attempt to defame saint who is revered all over the world. It’s a dirty game of politics.

The goons hired for this malevolent task damaged and burnt the vehicles of sadhaks.

Stones were pelted on the pedestrian sadhaks and they were trampled under bikes. Notwithstanding this ruthless behaviour, the sadhaks marched forward.

Sadhaks traveling by bus were made to get down and were insulted. The ladies were molested.

Those non social elements tried to instill a feeling of fear inside the ashram compound.

Respected Bapuji constantly kept appealing to his disciple to maintain peace, till all became peaceful. And asked sadhaks to do chanting of Mantra "Om Hreem Om".

Bapuji personally visited the grieving families of those two boys and paid his condolence.

The truth behind the death of the two gurukul students.

The gurukul authorities got into action immediately on getting the doubt that two of the gurukul inmates are missing. On July 4th, 2008, at around 11am in the morning, the gurukul coordinator, along with the parents of the missing children, went to the ChaandKhera outpost and Adaalaja police station to lodge a First Information Report (FIR) for the matter. The police officials dissuaded the authorities from lodging an FIR, suggesting that the kids may have gone to see the Rath Yatra or any nearby place, and should come back on their own. With due approval from the parents, the FIR was not registered.

Nevertheless, a team of 50-60 sevadhaaris was sent out to the Rath Yatra to search the missing kids. In addition to this, teams were also sent to railway station and bus depot. Hence, the allegations of not cooperating are totally unjustified and baseless.

Ashram authorities had never requested anyone to abstain from reporting this matter to media. On the contrary, the authorities themselves were using media to good effect in order to find the missing children. Pictures of the missing boys were published in a news paper. The news was also broadcasted on Citi cable and Doordarshan.

As for the delay in lodging the FIR, the Gurukul coordinator had gone to the police station on July 3rd itself. But, the on duty officer suggested waiting for some time, and checking with the relatives of the missing boys. It was on insistence from the parents that an FIR was lodged. Gurukul coordinator was accompanying the parents at that time.

Ashram does not indulge in any kind of tantric experiments. In fact, it is always discouraged in the ashram. Hence these kinds of allegations are totally untruthful and groundless.

To avoid the strict surveillance at the main gate of the ashram, the boys must have chosen to escape from the backside, which is close to the river. As a result, this unfortunate incidence happened. On July 5th, 2008 the authorities were informed of their dead bodies found in a drowned state, around 2-2.5km away from the ashram compound. The birds and animals were pecking at the dead bodies. The claims from ashram are further corroborated by the autopsy and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) reports, which state that drowning was the cause of the death.

The local people, staying near the ashram, had spotted the dead bodies even before the ashram got any news on the matter. Out of panic, the local people did not inform the police. During police investigation, this fact also came forward. Ashram helped the police in every possible way, but still they are being accused of not cooperating.

According to police, in case of death by drowning, because of remaining under water two to three days, the body swells and starts floating on the surface. This is clearly evident in this case. A crowd had gathered around the dead bodies, and seeing this crowd a visitor got the news of some dead bodies found near the ashram compound. He later informed the ashram authorities of this, and the matter was reported to police. The police then took the custody of the dead bodies.

When police took charge of the dead bodies, they were in a decomposed state and pecked at by birds and animals.

When Bapuji was informed of this unfortunate incident he paid his condolences for the deceased and all the ashramites and sadhaks to read the seventh chapter of Gita for peace to the departed souls.

Thereafter sadhaks from different places in Gujarat prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

In the face of this trouble, all the sadhaks are standing united with the families of the boys who suffered this terrible loss. Thousand of sadhaks are paying condolence to the grieving family.

Ashram authorities have left no stone unturned in helping in investigation. Every piece of information has been provided with a complete transparency on the matter. They have worked with media and police on every aspect of the case, and are ready to share all information, should someone desire any explanation.
